Leaves at very top of outdoor Golden Tiger shriveling and dying

I’ll keep an eye on it but yes the hard hook seems strange to me. Does that happen with fusarium? Never had to contend with that, mostly just bud rot late Sept through Oct… if they ever do form large buds it is going to be a massive chore supporting everything way up there!!

Leaves at very top of outdoor Golden Tiger shriveling and dying

I'll keep you posted for sure! It's really just brown and dried where it died, not black -- that could be the heavy shadows making it look that way. But yeah wimpy equatorial strains in NW CT! Acting funky and ridiculously late to flower!! More to be revealed!

Here are a few marginally better pics! It is not a "full wilt" really, more like a curling and drying...

Should also mention that I have been growing in the same basic area for over 5 years without this issue or other water issues, fwiw...

Leaves at very top of outdoor Golden Tiger shriveling and dying

Yes, it's about 15 ft in from the bank and 10 - 12 ft above the water mark, which has been running low most of the summer. Soil seems relatively dry but I will poke around. I keep an eye out for bugs for sure, and not seeing any signs of bug damage. I tend to keep up with neem oil foliar spray...

Leaves at very top of outdoor Golden Tiger shriveling and dying

Interesting as it has been really dry here but I did give them some water the other day. Any ideas on a fix other than limiting water?? ty!

Leaves at very top of outdoor Golden Tiger shriveling and dying

Yeah like I said and experiment and exercise in futility!!! 😵‍💫 just wanted to see it grow and have a number of other plants that will finish in time:) It has been dry so will give it some extra water!

Leaves at very top of outdoor Golden Tiger shriveling and dying

just preflower, and yeah late like everything this year. It's an experiment and an exercise in futility as it will be no where near finished when the heavy frosts come so will prob turn whatever there is into malawi cob!

Leaves at very top of outdoor Golden Tiger shriveling and dying

Hey all! I have got three large outdoor Golden Tigers nearing 12ft. and on one of them I am seeing leaves shrivel and die on a few of the tops. Not sure what is going on, it's been dry here in the NE and I have not been giving them much in the way of nutes as they are in super rich soil right...

2025 outdoor grows! Let’s see em!

Golden Tiger Update Pics Afternoon ya'll checking in from zone 6 NE... Golden Tigers about 8.5-9ft now and going strong! Pre flower just peeking out. Would be a miracle if I can get them to finish properly by early Nov!! Mystery plant that revegged started flowering mid-June, stalled for a...

2025 outdoor grows! Let’s see em!

Anyone ever have any luck reattaching and healing a large branch that broke clean off? I’ve successfully mended plenty of partially broken branches, but never one that was completely severed. Freak thunderstorm with 30mph winds ripped through the field this afternoon and tore off a near 7’...

Minnesota outdoor grow 2025 questions 6 plants getting too big in veg.

Agree that four large bamboo poles in a pot that size will be tough! Wire cage was my other thought! But center stake might be the way. It all gets unwieldy in small containers, either way. If they are still vegging and you are feeling ambitious you could pot up to 30 gal pouches!! But that’s...

Minnesota outdoor grow 2025 questions 6 plants getting too big in veg.

Looking good! 10 - 12’ stakes seem like overkill to me. How tall are those plants now? I see 5 gal buckets and what size are the root pouches?? 15 gal? Those containers will limit the overall height of the plants. 8’ should be more than enough. I order these for my in-ground plants and...

2025 outdoor grows! Let’s see em!

UPDATE TO MYSTERY PLANT….ReVeg!! So I was away for a few days and came back to find that my Mystery plant (seedsman freebie) started to reveg! Not surprised as I had to, for various reasons, put her in the ground in mid-May (zone 6 NE) when I usually plant young plants early June. She started...

Wondering 🤔 how much longer for my girls?

They look lovely but definitely need at least a few more weeks, imho. Watch for the pistils turning red/brown and starting to retract into the calyx, which will swell. Also, the advice to watch trichs becoming predominantly cloudy with some amber is on point, however different strains do not...

2025 outdoor grows! Let’s see em!

    Mystery plant and Golden Tiger

I’m growing some Golden Tiger from Ace Seeds this season, ordered from Seedsman and was sent some mystery seeds popped everything in early March and moved them outdoors in the ground in mid-May. The mystery seed is standing a little over 3.5’ and started pre-flower in mid June (likely an auto?)...

Thanks for all that info! Yes, timer works fine everywhere else. Very strange. Love the sound of the gsc though and glad it has worked so well for you. Looking forward to getting it and setting it up!
