    What’s GNick55 up too

Those truly are gorgeous, Nick! I don't know how you do it, so unbelievably healthy and happy. Love the colors, too!

Hi im new here and need help

Hey Ky, I've grown autos a few times with good results on a 18/6 light/dark cycle. They need that darkness. Yours look great and are just getting underway, so you've probably got 7-8 weeks of flower depending on how ripe you like them. GNick55 is exactly right about the timing, just make sure...

Organic vs. Synthetic Pest Control for Outdoor Plants

All good, brother, all good! I just appreciate your response, as you helped me come to the decision of synthetic pesticides. I understand that it's taboo in the cannabis community, but damnit, I'm sick of losing so many gorgeous young plants to a stupid bug, lol. Thanks, man!

Organic vs. Synthetic Pest Control for Outdoor Plants

Thanks again for your insight and suggestions, guys! I think this year I'm just gonna say f--- it, and use a synthetic insecticide. Whenever I think about how the normal organic pesticides go up against the God-blessed TX leafhoppers, I'm reminded of the movie Mars Attacks. The silly humans...

Organic vs. Synthetic Pest Control for Outdoor Plants

Thank you, both, for your insight. Yes, I've used spinosad multiple times over the years, and these TX leafhoppers just seem to laugh at it. They will ruin all of the fresh, tender tops and just destroy the leaves. Leafhoppers are the only pest that seem to really attack my plants. So I...

Organic vs. Synthetic Pest Control for Outdoor Plants

I have a dilemma this year, as my outdoor grow is about to commence here in North TX, USA. I have the genetics, soil, nutes, etc. all dialed in, BUT, I have not been able to overcome the damage done to my cultivars by insects. Leaf hoppers, specifically, wreak uncontrolled havoc on my plants...

    Luv weed hate growing weed

Granny and MIG, many thanks for the clarification. I was told the best method would be a clear plastic cup inside a regular dixie cup. I absolutely don't want to expose those delicate roots to even one second of sun. But I did wanna ask you guys about this: Has anyone seen the dixie cup...

    Luv weed hate growing weed

For what it's worth, I had the exact same question the other day about bio seed starter pots vs. dixie cups. What I learned from the experienced folks on this forum is to use clear plastic cups for germination, thus ensuring you can observe the root structure and will be easily able to...

    North Texas Outdoor Starting Point

Anthem, many thanks for your response and insight. I was afraid of that. I don't have the space or disposable income to create a set up like that, complete with exhaust fans and light-dep tarps, etc. I think my location dictates that my best bet is to go the indoor route. But I cannot...

    North Texas Outdoor Starting Point

Nothin? I need y'alls help, please, lol! Welp, I've got plenty of beans, so I suppose I could start them in tranches every 2 weeks starting in April and see which ones flower early. Only issue with that is I'd like for them ALL to flower at the correct time, lol. Thanks, homies.

    North Texas Outdoor Starting Point

Thanks to all of you guys for all of your sincere support and help out there. Year before last, I started my photos as seedlings outside in mid-February with the idea being I'd get an extra long veg time. Unfortunately, all of them flowered early and it was a total waste. I'm in N Texas, so...

Dixie Cups or Biodegradable Seed Starter Cups

Dude, that is a GREAT idea! How thick is the newspaper, and do you add anything to make it stick together other than H20? Thanks, man!

Dixie Cups or Biodegradable Seed Starter Cups

Big, thanks for the insight! Yes, I think it must come down to the consistency of the bio cup. Now, I've grown plenty of Papaver Somniferum started in the bios so that I could sprinkle a little opium on a bowl of dosia, but never have I attempted to sprout Cannabis seedlings in a bio. And I...

Dixie Cups or Biodegradable Seed Starter Cups

And after punching out the drainage hole completely, do you then put the whole thing into the final pot?

Dixie Cups or Biodegradable Seed Starter Cups

Interesting. Thanks for the feedback, Kraken! So, you've had success with the bios as long as they're soaked in water before filling with substrate? Is it just the Jiffy ones you like? How long do you soak them? Thanks!

Dixie Cups or Biodegradable Seed Starter Cups

Oh, dude that's GREAT! I'm not sure why I didn't think about a clear plastic cup! Cuz I was wondering how long I should leave it in the dixie cup before it has extensive enough roots to easily slide out of the cup in one piece instead of falling apart. Thank you!
