    Half of the pistils Amber

You're looking at the wrong part. You really need to get a magnifier that lets you inspect the trichs. They're pretty inexpensive on Amazon.

would this dehumidifier be big enough

I've got 9 plants in a 2x4 Tent. Next grow will be no more than 4. Let you know how that works out

would this dehumidifier be big enough

I tried a mid-sized unit a couple of weeks ago as my autos were starting to flower. Saw Temps hit as high as 86! Fried one of my Blue Dreams as it was starting to flower. It lost most of it's leaves but is struggling through now.

would this dehumidifier be big enough

I wish I had humidity in the tent impacted by the room. I'm in a closet where the humidity is 47% but the tent runs 60+ if left on its own. The plants just generate too much humidity. The small units dont get the job done and the midsized ones generate too much heat. Maybe I just need to reduce...

How is this unit with heat?

    Will this dehumidify a 5x5?

I have this unit and it does not work in my 2'x4'

    Will this dehumidify a 5x5?

How does this unit perform heat wise? I don't mind spending the money for a good one, but the units I've looked at add a good 10 degrees to the temp in my 2'x4' tent, and I'm not here for that.

Could use some advice: How's this going?

Here's what this lady looks like today. Started her flowering last week. Problem turned out to be nutes. Using distilled water took out the bad stuff, but it also took out the good stuff. I had been following the conventional wisdom of no nutes for 3 weeks. Once I started hitting her with...

Could use some advice: How's this going?

Pretty close. 33 inches from the floor. Maybe 28 from the tallest plant. I had read it should be 12-18 inches above. Just goes to prove you can't believe everything you read on the internet 😅

Could use some advice: How's this going?

Done. Backed off where it was significantly. I never would have lace them that high, but that's what it took to get that 10k reading.

I chose LED out of fear of a heat problem. How are CFL in that regard? I plan on moving my grow to the basement, but right now I'm in an attic closet and can't add any heat.

I feel like I've gotten some good input from you guys. I'm here to learn. I learn best when I get to discuss ideas, rather than being told 'do this', or 'do that'. I'm sure I will be calling on many of you again as I (hopefully) progress. Thanks!

    Will do.

I def did move it. You think 15 inches is still too close?

Could use some advice: How's this going?

Good piece. Maybe I din't express my thinking very clearly, but this seems to confirm my thinking: "In the same vein, if the VPD is too low, meaning that the RH is high, the transpiration rate will decrease, slowing the flow of water through the plant."

Could use some advice: How's this going?

One of my memories as a kid is visiting this area and tasting the nasty water. My wife is humidfier crazy so we always have distilled water handy.

No, but the Potomac River is only slightly better 😄

Could use some advice: How's this going?

Seems to me if the humidity is high and the plant is taking water through the leaves, it's not getting nutrient water from the soil. The water entering the leaves should actually push the water from the soil *down*. Am I totally off base here?

Could use some advice: How's this going?

It was as high as 80%. Been notching it down, it will go to 50% at lights out today. I think I've seen improvement since it came down below 60%. My target is 45% (tomorrow).

Could use some advice: How's this going?

I don't put tap water in my own body. I don't want to subject my plants to it.
