Area51- rockwool grodan/Athena proline with Growlink controller

Cool, its a phone app. Is there a desktop app that goes with it too? Just one watering a day still huh. I guess its the 6 inch cubes, im used to the deltas now. Those 6 inch cubes can grow some pretty large plants and still only need one watering a day when watered by hand, a lot more dryback...

Area51- rockwool grodan/Athena proline with Growlink controller

Looks good still a little droopy though eh? I know i said you cant overwater rockwool, but I kinda want to revisit that. Generally speaking you cant, especially while the roots are still mostly in the top of the cube, but some plants might like more or less. I wonder if you dropped wc a little...

Day 8 of my first Grow

try turning off text prediction on your keyboard. I got a new phone recently that made posting pics and quotes impossible. It would randomly add blank lines when typing and every time i tried a quote it would place my cursor inside the quote and wouldnt allow me to type outside it. Turned off...

Area51- rockwool grodan/Athena proline with Growlink controller

That i cant really help with, I dont do sensors so im not sure how they work. Even the term field capacity is foriegn to me but an educated guess tells me it refers to the total amount of water the cube can hold? I would assume that happens at some point, but it could also be due to using the...

Area51- rockwool grodan/Athena proline with Growlink controller

Nice, theyre looking good. Hard to see through the trellis but the 2 closest look nice and healthy. Im not sure about the other one either, but sometimes they do weird shit when grown from seed and could have different nutrient uptake. I think itll sort itself out once it finshes rooting though...

Area51- rockwool grodan/Athena proline with Growlink controller

and youve already got them on the slabs? If thats the case youre probably good to go. Below are my current mums in 4x4x4 deltas. Theyre in a 2x2 tent with a 100w spider farmer above at maybe 20-24". I have to feed them about once every 2 days till runoff and if i leave them any longer they...

Area51- rockwool grodan/Athena proline with Growlink controller

I havent, bit overkill imo if youre not growing large plants. I think you can just let the hugos drain into them, but youll have to watch the hugos dont get too drained by the slab, at least until the roots grow into the slab. If youve got the sensors setup they should take care of that for you...

    My "secret" to killer edibles.

thats just the dispo with badly cured weed lying to you. Doesnt make all of terp science bullshit, maybe some of the bro science. I think the reality is the legal market is full of just bad growers and so dispos get bad weed. Good stuff too, I assume. My most recent harvest was 20 clones...

    Why do people grow autos?

ohhhh right, the blackflies!! Friggin clouds of them at times, I forgot about the blackflies... and the occasional bear lol.

    Why do people grow autos?

oh man this part brought me back a decade or 2 lol. I remember being out in the bush early May, just bushwacking our way through thick brush and swampland to find a good spot. Then break out the shovels and dig anywhere from 50 to 100 holes. It was almost as rough as dragging 20 or so 40lb bags...

    Why do people grow autos?

What exactly is wrong with that quote? When I say "mature" I mean fully ripened flower ready for harvest. And flowering doesnt start without 10hrs darkness unless its an auto. 12/12 is just an easy way indoors to ensure at least 10hrs while saving 2hrs worty of electricity.

    Why do people grow autos?

You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of how a photoperiod works. Photoperiods cant and dont mature until there is more than 10hrs of uninterupted darkness at night. That only happens when the seasons change, and varies depending on how far from the equator you are. In Michigan, thats...

    Why do people grow autos?

the point is that a photo wont flower during june/july and then be ready for harvest in Aug. Even if you flip it to flower indoors, the moment you put outside it will reveg until around mid Aug where im from. Then flowering starts and theres 8 weeks min to finish. That puts me to mid Oct. I...

HPS light superior vs current led tech?

no, but the added par output makes all the difference. You dont get that with a $500 led. To match the par output of a good 1000w hps you need something like the gavita that runs 750w still, and theyre expensive, as are most others that put out that kind of par. A 480w light bar isnt really an...

    Why do people grow autos?

yeah i just grabbed the first result for arguments sake lol. I dont grow autos but ive known people who have, read a number of experiences over the years, seen a lot of youtube vids. But generally i agree, I wouldnt recommend them unless youve got a reason, and beginners would probably be better...

    Why do people grow autos?

well yeah, i know not to try to grow regular/feminized sativas outdoors here, but that doesnt mean i dont want to lol. Autos allow for something at the very least similar to its parent strain.

    Why do people grow autos?

https://dutch-passion.com/en/cannabis-seeds/auto-skywalker-haze Theres little chance i could finish most haze variants outdoors. Even a 9 to 10 week flower runs me into Oct. The strain above though, or any other sativa auto, i could get a head start indoors, as you suggested, and harvest mid...

    Why do people grow autos?

which would mean i cant grow most sativas outdoors. I could get a similar auto though and grow it outdoors.

    Why do people grow autos?

I cant get ahead and veg indoors when the strain takes 12 weeks to flower and doesnt start till mid Aug. By first week of Oct we can have snow here. Doesnt matter how long i veg them indoors, it doesnt shorten the plants flowering cycle, and doesnt extend my flowering season.

    Why do people grow autos?

IMHO, yes but also no. Autos arent that bad. They can be faster than photos, and from seed they often are. But i can clone a photo and flip and harvest the clones in a similar amount of time as an auto. You cant clone an auto, so youre growing from seed every time. For some, this is a problem...
