If you are using dry amendments you have to treat it like soil. Don’t listen to people that say water every day. Yes if you use salt base nutes but not with dry amendments. The pot is a bit big tho. Even if you can’t over water in coco you still can if the pot is too big for the plant stage...

No, I use it elsewhere after but not with my plants. I don’t find it expensive after coming from bottled nutes. Much cheaper growing this way for me. Reamending the soil can cause it to be unbalanced after a while if it’s not professionally tested. I rather start fresh every time for my medicine :)
