Does anyone know How to callous cuttings?

I don't believe he was looking for signs of rooting. He was saying he had to cut a cube open and examine the roots to see if a callus had formed at the base. The callus closes off the cut and keeps it from rotting or allowing the stem to be hollow, opening a door for pathogens. Plus it seems...

Does anyone know How to callous cuttings?

Why don't you push the cutting all the way through the Rockwood? Between a 16th and ⅛" protruding. It's going to be tougher to form a callus without the cut being exposed to air. Plus you don't have to ruin a cube just to verify.

Bagseed trial, hoping for a girl

Day 58 from sprout. Moved to bigger pot 2 days ago with some dirt from the ranch. We board horses there from time to time and amend all the soil up there with manure. Seems to have had no issues with the move to her final home. Should see some good gains with the new soil.

Bagseed trial, hoping for a girl

Missed about a week in the photo journal. Day 26 above ground and looking pretty good. Thanks to my friend Mike. It would likely be starved without his knowledge.

Bagseed trial, hoping for a girl

Also to note, the soil from the yard had a lot of clay in it, but there's adequate nitrogen if all the green, lush grass is any indicator. I have a modest supply of sand for pool filters so I mixed it with the soil in at least a 1:1. Possibly slightly more sand. I was concerned about drainage...

Bagseed trial, hoping for a girl

Found a seed in a sack from the dispensary. Strain was GMO x GG4, though that really makes little difference I'm sure. Looking good so far. No nutes, dug up some dirt where the washing machine empties, water only until I know if it's a girl or not. Fingers crossed

Why Are My Leaves Growing Three Fingers? Let Me Tell You Why

Was the heater on all night long? I can't see this happening overnight any other way.

Why Are My Leaves Growing Three Fingers? Let Me Tell You Why

I had a Gelato#33 and MAC 1 a couple of years ago start to flower about a month early. Since my first grow budded early and I didn't know any better I let it finish and chalked it to inexperience. When these 2 did, I turned the lights on and left them on. I don't think the MAC threw any 3...

Are these strains' lineages and breeders' names correct?

MAC1 also has Cloumbian in it iirc.

    So what had happened was...

So, this Is a really old thread, I am down to one original clone I got back last May. My Gelato#33 shook off everything until a month into their 12/12 and the heater for some reason never shut off and killed the middle of the plant. She was involuntarily topped about 2 weeks after I saw the...

Anyone ever rooted cutting in water?

My success rate with rockwool and clonex was near 100%. Once I got the clonex. In had root hormone powder, but I think only one of those ever took. I have rooted many other plants in a glass of water so I figured weed would too.

I have cloneX. I used water cause I was out of rockwool cubes

Anyone ever rooted cutting in water?

Strange since my plants seem healthier and have shown the most aggressive growth since moving them from the happy frog. Maybe it's just an optical illusion. Light rays refracted off of Venus and stuff.

Anyone ever rooted cutting in water?

It does except that the stem submerged did in fact grow roots, though I understand that no signal has been given that anything different needs to happen. That's why I dipped them in clone x first. Crazy thing is i pretty much gave up on them and the cutting from my MAC1 not just still alive but...

Anyone ever rooted cutting in water?

So you don't water your plants with tap, just root cuttings? But good to know. Too bad I changed the light schedule a week ago.

    So what had happened was...

First, I will always lend an ear and open mind to advice given in the support of success or to impart knowledge. Anything that falls outside of that also falls outside my cognizance. It captures none of my attention. Second, I'm aware that I'm new to this and have much to learn. I'm also really...
