Why don't you push the cutting all the way through the Rockwood? Between a 16th and ⅛" protruding. It's going to be tougher to form a callus without the cut being exposed to air. Plus you don't have to ruin a cube just to verify.

Day 58 from sprout. Moved to bigger pot 2 days ago with some dirt from the ranch. We board horses there from time to time and amend all the soil up there with manure. Seems to have had no issues with the move to her final home. Should see some good gains with the new soil.

Also to note, the soil from the yard had a lot of clay in it, but there's adequate nitrogen if all the green, lush grass is any indicator. I have a modest supply of sand for pool filters so I mixed it with the soil in at least a 1:1. Possibly slightly more sand. I was concerned about drainage...

My success rate with rockwool and clonex was near 100%. Once I got the clonex. In had root hormone powder, but I think only one of those ever took. I have rooted many other plants in a glass of water so I figured weed would too.
