Ground up exoskeletons, right? The hydrogen peroxide seems to have helped, I used that yesterday. I'll use the mosquito bits either late tonight or tomorrow morning so it's not getting too wet again, then maybe regular usage of the DE to keep on top of it. On the next grow I'll try using DE all...

I read that once the surface soil dries, they go deeper and can attack the root, I believe the damage to the plant comes from diseases getting into the roots where the gnats have opened it up, but I'm also a beginner so ... I've had the sticky traps in for 3 days and I've let it dry, I used...

Thanks. The diatomaceous earth hasn't arrived yet. The mosquito bits have arrived and they've been soaking for an hour so far, I'm led to believe the longer they soak the better so maybe best to wait til tomorrow? The hydrogen peroxide also arrived today. Should I use the hydrogen peroxide now...

The sticky strips caught one immediately. Can someone confirm it's definitely a fungus gnat?

So you're using it as a preventative rather than a cure? Good to know for next time. Is it safe to use on any compost? The best I can get for this is tomato compost, which does appear to be a little hot

Day 54, 2 autos, one indica other sativa. There are tiny flies in the soil, upon research they seem to be gnats. I've got a tub of cider vinegar and washing up liquid sat in each pot (no flies in them in 24 hours) I've ordered several things to try but don't know which is best, what can and can...

I'm not feeding now due to nutes in the tomato compost but this is the food I use, I tried feeding half of the strength recommended a few weeks ago and that seemed to be when the problems started.

Also did you notice the droop of the leaves on the indica? Is that light related too or something else?

I'm going to try raising the light. Why is it the mid leaves and not the top if that is the issue?
