I always run 25-35% perlite with my coco. The amount of water will have something to do with the size of the plant. As she gets bigger, the coco will be drier after 24 hours than when she is smaller. I would plan a half gallon to gallon of water per feed. Whatever it takes to get a good 20–30%...

I would go with 3 to 5 gallons. 5 is a touch big for coco imo unless you are running big girls, but I would go that route if you know you are limited to once per day feeding. Dont skimp on water or feed. Probably more like a gallon to get good runoff in a 5 gal bag, maybe closer to 1.5...

I have grown a whole bunch of autos and photos. For people starting out, I would suggest photos. Particularly if you had some pretty defined expectations about time, strain, and you. Auto plant, even from the same batch of seeds, will tend to have its own thing. It will decide what size it wants...
