Trouble in paradise: Planet of the Grapes clone showing deficiencies

She'll be due for a transplant soon, I'll refrain from adding any more when I bump her up to a 5 gallon. The funny thing is though, despite the discoloration and a couple weird looking leaves, she's growing really well and responded to the LST, she has so many new tops! Thanks again! I'll still...

Trouble in paradise: Planet of the Grapes clone showing deficiencies

That's a good question – I'll check the soil ph. If I remember correctly I added about two tablespoons to the 1 gallon pot. I forgot to add it to the soil so I sprinkled it on top and watered it in. (I've since started to write down everything I do so that I have a record of waterings / feedings...

Trouble in paradise: Planet of the Grapes clone showing deficiencies

Who knows (yet), it might be "all of the above"! lol Definitely learning a lot in the process, can't hurt to have the test strips and some neem spray. And I think she appreciates finally being fed completely. Will update when I have more to share! 🙏🙏🙏

Trouble in paradise: Planet of the Grapes clone showing deficiencies

I fed her today and did exactly that! added to 1 gallon dechlorinated tap: 1tsp epsom, 3ml cal mag, 7ml fox farm #1, 30ml fox farm #2, and .9ml Foop ph down (phosphoric acid) Ph'ed to 6.5, runoff was identical...

Trouble in paradise: Planet of the Grapes clone showing deficiencies

Super thankful for everyone's help. Some day I hope to have enough experience to be able to help out too... Should have both the neem and the TMV tests tomorrow, you guys are the best. 🙏

Trouble in paradise: Planet of the Grapes clone showing deficiencies

I'll take a closer look. In the meantime I ordered some neem oil spray and moved the Thai basil into another room.

Trouble in paradise: Planet of the Grapes clone showing deficiencies

@Trash_2002 — could this mottling be caused by bugs?? I just discovered that a Thai basil plant I have growing nearby is covered in tiny little white moths... Could they be the cause?

Trouble in paradise: Planet of the Grapes clone showing deficiencies

Ok sounds good... The plant looks pretty healthy otherwise. Will keep an eye on it and will know for sure once I get the test strips. I don't have any other plants going now so not worried about transmission, unless it can hop to my other house plants. I don't think I'll be taking any clones...

Trouble in paradise: Planet of the Grapes clone showing deficiencies

Well, just ordered a test kit which should be here next week, hopefully the plant just keeps on keeping on until then. Will be watering / feeding this afternoon with full strength Fox Farm veg nutrients plus cal mag and some additional epsom. Was reading elsewhere that magnesium can help with...

Trouble in paradise: Planet of the Grapes clone showing deficiencies

Wow, fascinating, thanks for the reply. Did some googling and there's a company called Agdia that makes test strips to test for TMV. Not cheap at $17 a pop ($65 for a kit of 5 strips plus shipping...) Is TMV a death sentence for the plant or will it just grow ugly? Any chance it could be...

Trouble in paradise: Planet of the Grapes clone showing deficiencies

Hello all. Almost a month in since I brought my PoG clone home from 420 festivities. Transplanted into a one gallon pot, she really responded well and seems pretty happy overall. Responded really well to LST. The bad news is, she's now showing signs of deficiency(ies) I didn't feed her for the...

VPD and outdoor growing? Does it matter?

To me it seems like the VPD chart is actually an optimization that allows indoor growers to grow weed under better conditions than outdoors. The plant is resilient and adaptable but maybe two identical plants, one growing outdoors vs one indoors, the indoor plant can outperform the outdoor one...

VPD and outdoor growing? Does it matter?

Why though? Why is an outdoor plant ok whereas indoors it's not, when both have the same VPD? Currently where I live the temperature is 72° at 30% rh. This is a VPD of 1.7 According to the chart this would be way too dry for veg, let alone seedlings. So how is it ok for outdoor plants...

VPD and outdoor growing? Does it matter?

Hello all, was just wondering, since VPD seems to be of utmost importance, how can it be managed when growing outdoors? Or is it only an issue for indoor growing? Not sure why that would be the case though.... Currently in my neck of the woods temps and humidity are already out of range for...

Happy 420! Just made an impulse buy i. Washington Square Park lol

Quick update, all is well with the not so little anymore clone. Started feeding her and giving her more light and she's really responding. Tons of new growth everywhere, shooting lots of what will be new branches. I started LST a few days ago with five bends. She started reaching back upwards...

First time in a long long time, starting very small...

I'm trying! Last night in the middle of the night the humidifier hose somehow slumped and filled with water and stopped humidifying for a few hours. Only noticed bc I had to get up to pee and compulsively checked my ac infinity app 😝

First time in a long long time, starting very small...

The light is off, I only turn it on when I am checking in on them which is about once or twice a day. It's a very low power 13w 6500k cfl. Otherwise they are in total darkness. The heating mat is not in use. Conditions are in the 68º / 60% range +/- a little, but pretty stable. I have a...

First time in a long long time, starting very small...

The soil was pretty full of roots so didn't want to bother trying to clean it. It's Pro-Mix HP which is pretty absorbant so probably wouldve taken a lot of water. After my overfeeding episode I measured the soil ph under the root ball as low as 4.3, so not worth the effort or water use. I did...
