Lil update. I gently loosened the soil at the base of the root ball (Pretty much scooped and gently shook until the compacted soil came out. Sprinkled with myko and put in 7 gal pot with new ocean forest bought today. Will see how it looks tomorrow after the lights off period.

Yeah I got the room. I just didn’t want to start more plants and these end up going well and have time clashes with flower. I only have one 3x3 in my small ass room lol so if I started new plants I’d have to wait for them all to be ready for flower to flower

True, I can start over and wait just as long lol. Or give it a shot and potentially have them healthy again in a shorter time frame. Alright, so I’ll be using ffof because of its availability and it’s cheap at my local store. They have promix, coast of Maine, fox farm coco coir and coco soil...

She also said that the 5 tbsp I added couldn’t have burned them, so it’s possible it wasn’t a nute issue. But That’s what I was thinking too. I’m just being cheap. You guys think I should even try to work with these plants?

More root photos, these roots are from the left plant which went out first. Roots look and feel way stronger than the right plant even it suffered first. It also had thicker roots towards the bottom. I can’t tell if it’s root rot. But I saw a small white patch of something on one of the roots.

Woke up today and this is what it looks like. Even bottom growth has perked up. I would put in new soil but I don’t want to buy soil unless I’m starting fresh. But I’m thinking the soil it was in it is fine, just needs to be mixed up. Thoughts?

Another note, I wanted to say thank u to everyone that contributed. This thread will definitively help another grower in the future.

For the next grow, I’ve been looking into growing in coco due to it not compacting as easy, the water process and nutrient process. Any tips or suggestions? Should I use coco plain (specifically cultivation nation 70/30 coco/perlite) or mix it with soil? I’d love to hear y’all’s experience...

After removing the plant from the soil. Soil underneath and towards bottom was dry. But soil was so compacted at base of roots that it was still moist

I am scrapping these plants and starting fresh. It’s hurts but oh well, at the stage they we’re in it would have taken a while to recover I’m sure. The flushing definitely made the soil really compact at the base of the root ball and that may have played a part, Idk if it looks like root rot to...

I tried the stick method but I used straws instead so the soil would collect inside. Soil was dry all the way to the bottom. I stuck in more towards the middle and dry too.

Result of flushing yes, whether the roots are drowned I don’t know. I waited until pots were dry and light to water again but I didn’t have a moisture meters to confirm. So it’s possible, a lot of opinions say it’s overwatered.

Hopefully, by the time it’s ready for a watering (which wont be until a few days from now) it won’t be too far gone, but it’s all progressing really fast so my morale for this is pretty low. So I’ll hope for the best. Can’t be cold, I’m on second floor of home, fireplace always makes it toasty...
