FYI best dr earth bang for buck I've found is Walmart.com 12 lb bags flower girl and home grown (veg) under $25 each and free shipping compared to normally around $12-$15 per 4 lb bag. Great outdoor ferts. Indoors have a fungus gnat plan.

Water the dry potting mix very slowly. Wet the top evenly, let it soak in, rinse, repeat. Too much too fast will channel and leave dry spots in the pot.
