    Home made led light tower

I built this to replace a hanging 600w hps and it works so good, definitely out performing the 600w and it’s only a 480 watt led. Anyone done anything like this before for lighting in between plants?

    first two days of flower

Hi, anyone turn their lights off for 2 days before going to 12/12 to induce a faster flowering response. I have never done this but a friend keeps telling me to do it as he says he gets buds after one week.

Rookie mistake any advice to help??

they will be fine, in grow 28-32 degrees is at the top end but will not cause significant damage, if they were in flower its way to hot as you want the room to be around 28 degrees. they look to have normal transplant shock so dont worry to much about it

Might mix LED and HPS. 40 lights. Input?

Hi, i found mixing them gave me awesome results, on par with the hps but there is a learning curve to get through. i found that you dont save on power as what you take away with hps in terms of watts you still have to add with led to maintain the same yield but controlling room temp is way...

Autoflower @ day 23 vs 400w HPS heat, what should I do?

rule of thumb, if the leaves are pointing up towards the light it is to high, if the leaves are pointing to the ground its to low and if the leaves a horizontal to the ground your spot on with the light height. with that said i like to go with slightly above horizontal

Making the switch to coco, any insight on Canna?

i have used coco for about ten years now and would not use anything else but make sure to mix at least 25% perlite to help with drying out the pot when you over water. I would not recommend using straight coco it can become water logged pretty easy if you are not on the ball with the watering...

stripping fan leaves for better light penetration

i have recently started using led lights mixed with hps lights and have noticed that my plants are a lot more bushy where the led lights are placed, so today i stripped most of the big fan leaves that were shading the smaller buds. I dont like doing this but i felt i had no choice. So i guess my...

nute burn big time, any advice?

Mixing LED with HPS. Anyone doing it?

Just a update. Im at 9 days into flower now and i have noticed a couple differences using a mix of led with hps. 1st is the plants definitely grow slower as i extended my grow by 10 days and they still did not get as big as they usually would but i turned them over to flower any ways. 2nd the...

Problems in early veg can anyone help please

judging by the size rockwool cube you have them in and if your watering more than once to runoff every 4-5 days you are over watering them. Your leaves also look to be pointing down so i would also say the light is to close to the plant

Are airstones mandatory in a resevoir?? Dont know if i should airstone my rez or is the root zone getting enough air when i water

a pump or a air stone will not mess with ph level, its water temperature that alters ph readings. The point of water movement in a nutrient tank is to stop the water going stale, oxygen depletion and to stop nutrients settling at the bottom of the tank

Are airstones mandatory in a resevoir?? Dont know if i should airstone my rez or is the root zone getting enough air when i water

Chlorine in tape water will not harm them at all. where i am the tap water ph is 7.8 and 450 ppm, just ph your tank down to 6.0 and they will be fine. What size is your nutrient tank?

Are airstones mandatory in a resevoir?? Dont know if i should airstone my rez or is the root zone getting enough air when i water

a air stone does not put air into the water the purpose of the air stone is to keep the water moving and stop it from losing oxygen and going stale a small pump always on at the bottom of the tank will do the same
