302 block is really solid from what I hear...lighter, smaller, easier to work on. Gut a fox body or which ever car, HP to weight, and make the tires stick....it a proven combo and it works

100% sweat equity!!!! for sure!!!!! VP fuels, entry to the test and tune day......trailer there and back.....etc...the good fun stuff isn't cheap anymore I do most of my own labor and it saves me a ton these days

Electrician here....can't help with your machine work....money shift? I never raced the ^^^ car, but I wired it from the ground up and drove it a few times...not for the faint I know this is a farming site, but he said anything goes : )
