The backwards and reversed season - 2025

That thing is cool! Looks a little short, though. How tall is that? I am expecting the SD to get pretty lanky outdoors 5-6 ft wouldn't surprise me. To your point though, you're probably right. I may add a finer mesh at some point. I was going to be doing this is a greenhouse but that plan ran...

The backwards and reversed season - 2025

We've now got 11/14 seeds transplanted. One of the Pineapple Kush looks like it died off as it was sprouting. One Pineapple Kush and One Blue Cheese Auto are still working on poking out their sprout. That brings my overall success rate with Royal Queen Seeds down to 83.3% One thing I've...

The backwards and reversed season - 2025

I've seen that trend in layered soil (or soil-like) grow diaries as well. I think a lot of people run into issues right as the roots start pushing down into the hotter bloom layer — nutrient lag, pH shifts, or roots just hesitating at the boundary. I’ve tried to dial in the middle layer of my...

The backwards and reversed season - 2025

So far 9 of the 14 seeds have sprouted. I transplanted 8 of the 9 (3x White Widow, 3x Sour Diesel, 2x Blue Cheese Auto) into little jiffy cups. The indoor plants are in Happy Frog, and the SD are in my seedling mix. 10oz dry Coco (expanded to about 2.5 LB with 1.5L spring water) Buffered with...

The backwards and reversed season - 2025

I can say from experience, there's definitely a non-zero chance of PM where I'm at as well. I plan to put down a mulch top layer over the outdoor bags. I was told it should help with mildew and deter pests attracted to the soil-like mix. Only time will tell if it works out for me 😃

The backwards and reversed season - 2025

Welcome to The Backward Season This season’s grow is called *The Backward Season* because I’m flipping the script on how I usually run things. Normally, I grow indoors in coco-heavy blends using hydro-style feeds. But this time? I’m running soil indoors and coco outdoors—just to see what...

Can’t figure out what’s going on with her?

That definitely looks like nutrient problems. Possibly more than one thing is going on. The yellowing and browning on the lower leaves could be a few things. The Lucas Formula cuts out Grow, so it’s naturally lower in nitrogen. Some plants, especially in veg, just need more. If she’s still...

where is the old school skunk

I think Skunk #1 is probably as close as we've got to that funky, skunky, smelly green. I've heard tell of some breeders quietly working on breeding #1 to be more like the stanky ladies of yore...but those are just rumors as far as I know In the meantime, I like cheese strains. They have the...

One_bell's first grow (F1 Epsilon auto, RDWC)

in my opinion VPD is the crucial number for drying cannabis properly. It measures how efficiently moisture can leave your buds, balancing humidity and temperature to prevent mold while avoiding over-drying. The ideal VPD for a slow, even dry is between 0.4-0.8 kPa. The 60/60 method came about...

How do i grow bud as good as the medical dispensory?

Overall, I would agree Grams per watt is really not a great measure, especially for home grows. Much better to consider yield over area or I prefer yield per plant. Most breeders will give you a range of yield to expect under optimized conditions. If you're getting pretty close to that number...

Need info on autoflower and of anyone has greenhouse experience

I supplement the lighting in my green house, but it's really situational. If I was getting enough full sun, I wouldn't. But where I am there is too much shade for part of the day, so I added some. You want them getting on average about 6 hours of direct sun if possible. if not, supplement with...

One_bell's first grow (F1 Epsilon auto, RDWC)

To me, it looks and sounds like senescence is setting in. If you can get a look at your trichomes you'll get a better idea how far you are from harvest. Looking at RQS they say 30-40 days flower. Given you topped, that puts additional strain on the plant's system. both in terms of healing but...

How do i grow bud as good as the medical dispensory?

I use a few different Vivosun pieces, like their 19L humidifier, their temp/humidity controller, and on a separate project one of their big 8 inch inline fans. I've Never had a problem. Their gear seems comparable to MH or SF. I tell people to start with Vivosun stuff and if they really get into...

Winter Indoor Fem Autos - My first grow log on the farm

They've finished drying and been jarred up. Total harvest was 16.83oz (about 477 grams). That is 10.33 oz of Green Gelato and 6.5 oz Dosidos. I'll let these cure for about a month and then they should be ready to be enjoyed. Now it's time to do the reset and get ready for the spring fling...

    new dude here...

Hey welcome to the farm. I think there will be a surge of new growers for the same reason. Now is a great time to get into it too. There are resources for every type of learning and plenty of options in terms of methods and equipment. Research -> Ask Questions -> Experiment -> Learn -> Research...

Is it time to flip anytime soon?

The ideal veg time really depends on a few factors, like strain, and room. If you've got plenty of head room to let them stretch 2x to 3x then let them go. If they're indicas they'll typically stretch less so can veg longer. You've got a scrog net so some people choose a certain percentage of...

The ultimate no no at 5 weeks..

I'd say it's general frowned upon because it complicates things. It's like your plants have been raised on Italian food their whole life and suddenly you show up with some sushi for them. Not necessarily bad, but expect to get some resistance to the change at first.

Germination contamination, press on or torch?

No, definitely not sure. Just judging from a photo and my experience from...other hobbies. Could definitely be something else and I am just being an alarmist.

Please help! 52% RH starting cure

Oh man, we've all been there! Some day you'll have the luxury of smoking on something from last season while you're waiting for this season to cure. Then you'll really see the difference. I second the idea about Boveda. Whenever I've used them, I didn't notice a difference in taste. I think it...

Germination contamination, press on or torch?

Always glad to help when I can 😄 Since your grow is confined, I'd actually recommend doing a reset between grows anyway. If you're going to be using bag soil from the hardware store, I recommend doing a pasteurization run before putting it into use. It's pretty simple, just soak the soil in hot...
