I vote for save ! Not sure what your schedule is like or if your in a rush for a harvest, but I think that little seed can make it if watered nice and easy.. Those first few leaves don't matter at all when the new ones pop up.. As long as there are no diseases, (root rot etc) she may come...

A good old spray bottle to lightly dampen the soil works well too... I use a small cap from a drinking water bottle, maybe 1/2 TBS or so to water my seedling with... They need very little water !

Good point about the auto's, I've just never had much luck starting seedlings in anything other than Pete Pellets. Not saying it cant work, just saying it hasn't worked well for me. Maybe its the soil I use (Ive also tried coco) who knows. Overall when I see someone struggling with seedlings...
