Aaah. So what you are saying is that such a system is quite vulnerable, and a small fault can fuck up the entire grow?
So how can one make sure that roots wont fill up the tubes? Go for a system with large diameter tubing?
What do you consider the safest give aways when a plant is done?
That is an interesting take. Some people claim that the yields of autos is nowhere near enough, even if they give twice the number of harvests.
Would love to see some discussion on this particular topic.
Trying out this strain finder helper. At first fast flowering sounds great. But wouldnt it in 9/10 cases have a downside of lesser quality bud. And less yield than a plant who takes it`s time to mature? I am sure it depends on a whole host of factors, but I just have to ask. So bear with me :)
"in the back"?
I am pretty much sold on RDWC. Seems to be so much less labour intensive. One reservoir to fill, one measurement location, one reservoir to drain. Not to mention the possibility of water temp control measures.
I do not have E.coli. They tested for it and found less than 1. Which is completely normal in "real" untreated water. The company who done the test explains that <1 means it was not found in the sample.
How much of a problem is minerals in your RDWC system? Pure groundwater, no chlorine or other treatments.
My goal is OFC to have as healthy plants as possible. But at the same time extend water changes as much as possible whitout putting plants at risk.
Total newbie here: You are saying DWC+scrog is impossible because you would have to take the lid of in order to drain and clean the bucket?
You will feel it due to the weekly water changes will cause you to throw a ton of nutes down the drain?
Very excited to hear how far you have come along...
I am talking yield quality and quantity over the same amount of grow time.
Its meant to be used in a place with cold weather and cheap electricity, so power consumption is not realy an issue.
