Done this too, and am no pro. I've gotten the leaf curl every single time. After a week or so they pick up with new growth and take off.

Yeah it is brown slime. The nutes are the same as the other tubs so I dont think it has anything to do with that. The ones that "rotted" are outside flower chamber and under floros, so its colder.

Changing the whole res takes a lot more water than just adding back. I would think adding back would be easier with some basic math skills. I would love an answer to the question above if anyone knows. Thanks.

To add to the post above.... OR... Do you add the water back to the tub first to get your desired water level, and then add the nutes and stir? Or does it even matter?

If you have a single tub DWC, and you are doing an add back method to keep a constant PPM instead of draining and refilling a res every week, how do you add the nutes exactly? After calculating the correct amount of nutes, do you just add that to whatever amount of water needs to be added...

So most PPM charts say to start low and gradually increase nutes. You are starting high and keeping it consistent. Looks like what the Lucas Formula does as well. He tries to maintain a PPM of 1300 at all times when under HID lights, from the start of veg til the end of flower (give or take)...
