In my opinion, 1000's are overkill for veg. I used to veg with 1000 watt MH and the plants just weren't happy. I now veg under T5's. I use a lot less electric, the plants are happier/healthier, and it takes a lot less to keep the room temp regulated.

You need about 3500 btu's per light plus another 4000 for the co2 burner and an extra 3-4000 on the super hot days. Cooling the lights with room chilled air will also help.
