I would collect pollen from it just because it's such an abnormal/weird plant. Was this a clone of something you've grown before?/ someone you know that has? Or was this supposed to be fem from seed?

IMO in the ground with the dirt that is already there is fine. The plants I have been in the ground since around May 20th,(in Michigan) now are about 3.5 feet tall with no nutes added after being put outside. I have yet needed to water them yet since it's been raining 2-3 times a week so far...
