Have you thought about getting rid of the intake and fully sealing the room? If so just keep the co2 hose above the plants behind a fan (like your friend suggested) and make sure to have good air circulation on the floor so the co2 that falls gets pushed back up to the underside of the leaves...

I'm sorry guys,but i was under the impression that you can only have ethylene toxicity if running a sealed room? The OP says the room is open so should have plenty of oxygen....or am i missing something. Those buds look good to me btw :D. Peace
