last night I had ran 1 gal ro water through it and did not ph it (I was told not to because my medium has a ph buffer in it) my run off reading came out as 7.0 ph and 37 ppm...did I mess up by not ph'ing my water and also does my medium have a ph buffer in it?

I ran ro water through it but did not ph it I was told my medium has a ph buffer in it that I did not need to ph it but that's why I did not ph the ro water before flushing. ill post pics of everything I have in a sec
