Plant Available Silicon, Soluble Silicon In Fertilizer Sources, Aafpco Approved Method

Thanks for putting this info together, this is very cool. Agsil 25 is just a solution of agsil 16 diluted at about 560 grams per gallon h20, yeah? Which is exactly the same as protekt right? How much of the agsil25/protekt solution would you have to add to achieve the 15-20 ppm SI that the...

    Grow Room A/C

Quick question - I'm trying to select an integrated 3-phase HVAC system that fulfills two requirements: 1. Large amount of latent cooling (dehumidification) 2. Programmable day/night settings For example, I'd like to be able to set it like this: Day 6am-6pm: 85 degrees, 75% RH (dehumidification...

    Hydroponic Research User Thread

Thanks for the link, I'll check that stuff out. I was actually asking more about neem oil blocking transpiration though, is that a thing?

    Hydroponic Research User Thread

Can you explain this a bit? I have heard that it's good to rinse the leaves of your plants after applying neem or oil based sprays, and was speculating that it was because they block some transpiration. Is this what's going on ?

What do you think of these Mitsubishi vrf units? This one is 5 tons and pulls only 21.5 amps. http://www.mitsubishipro.com/en/professional/products/heat-pump-systems/city-multi-vrf/city-multi-vrf-heat-pumps---outdoor-units/pumy?

To calculate the amp load for a larger split unit, can I sum (compressor RLA) + (condensor fan RLA) + (air handler fan FLA) to get an estimate of the total amp draw? Or am I missing something in there?

At this particular location, no, it is single phase 240. However, I'm also planning a new build out at a place that is on 3 phase 208v power, so I'd be curious as to what you would recommend for that as well.

I have some power constraints at a commercial location. I have about 50 amps of power available for cooling, per room. What would you suggest to get the most cooling for that amount of amps? I'm considering three x 3 ton mitsubishi mini splits (4240 max cooling watts @ 230v = 18.5 max amps per...

Ng Co2 Burner Was Killing My Plants

No, I haven't specifically leak tested any of the burners on the icg 30 unit. I do leak tests on any of user assembled screw fittings that are in the room, and if there are no leaks, I fire it up. I have about 8 of the icg-30s running in various rooms with no problems.

Ng Co2 Burner Was Killing My Plants

I've had some of the Titan Controls/Blueprint/Autopilot branded burners leak from internal fittings, but since I switched to the Sentinel ICG-30 models, no problems in any rooms. Just spray down every single fitting you can with soapy water, and fire up the burner while watching for even the...

Ng Co2 Burner Was Killing My Plants

The regulators usually have a small pressure release hole, so if the gas is at high pressure and the regulator is in the room, it can leak raw gas in to the room. Which will instantly cause severely sick plants.

Ng Co2 Burner Was Killing My Plants

After nearly a year of having them fuck things up in a major way, I now have propane and NG burners running in a variety of room sizes, with excellent results. The smallest rooms are about 8'x12', the largest 24'x50' and I run the rooms fully sealed, never exhausting the air the entire run...

Ng Co2 Burner Was Killing My Plants

Having run co2 burners (propane and natural gas) in a number of rooms, I can feel your pain with this. We had nearly a year where a few of our rooms were growing incredibly bad, same things as you describe. Let's just say that it was a lesson that cost us tens of thousands. Eventually realized...
