The Quest For Trichomes (a Story Of Micro Cultivation)

Please excuse me miss, didn't mean to offend. I thought you were a guy. My mistake.

    Root Aphids, Not Nitrogen Toxicity

No shit? Perhaps that's why I said: 'They are called springtails and they are not harmful.' Can't you fucking read? What is it with this place and fuckwits?

The Quest For Trichomes (a Story Of Micro Cultivation)

@Ytransplant Not here son, it isn't appropriate to the thread. Start another and we can discuss it further.

    Plant Info Quantum Kush

It's nothing to worry about, it's called leaf variegation and it neither adds nor takes away anything from the plant. It is caused by a pigment imbalance in the plant itself. I only ever had it with 1 plant some years ago, funny enough it was a violator kush IIRC. I'd let her grow for sure.

    Root Aphids, Not Nitrogen Toxicity

I thought they could fly but they just jump pretty high, which is why they are called springtails. I'll try and find a pic but to my old eyes they mostly just look like white dots.

    Root Aphids, Not Nitrogen Toxicity

I often get small infestations of little white bugs that live in the roots and they come out of the runoff in my coco, sounds a bit like what you are seeing. They are called springtails and they are not harmful. I seem to get mine free with Canna Coco :(

Microw Grow. Urgent Help Required!! Plz

@Ikshady I did notice the fan, it featured in 2 of your pics but there's no vent behind it so it won't be very effective. You should really read about the need for intakes and exhausts. And I'm with dnewsome2 and DrMcSkunkins that there is no benefit to feeding seedlings until the cotyledons...

    Think Outside The Box

Well a week has passed and everything is still alive so I'm doing something right. The seedplant continued to stretch all week and got a little frazzled for her efforts, so she needed some management: There's lots of nice mature growth getting the light, even after she has been tied back...

Microw Grow. Urgent Help Required!! Plz

There's a few things I would change if I was you. Unless you plan on keeping the door open on that cab I would make holes for an intake and exhaust. Without constant fresh air your plants will die. Same for sealing in those seedlings with tape to retain humidity. Humidity is good but fresh air...

Ideal Temp Range Vs Lighting To Aid Stunted Plants - Veg

Is there signs of bleaching on those leaves? Hard to tell from the pic. Not sure it applies to you but I have my young guns under a 20w white light until they are ready to flower, and when I first used it I had to tie some card across the glass to tone it down as it was killing everything. The...

Thanks for commenting guys. Hey blazeup420, yes it's called Clonex. It works well but I'm guessing so do all the others, just make sure to give enough time for the plant to take up the hormone.

The Quest For Trichomes (a Story Of Micro Cultivation)

Very nice spec ;) So what is the overall temperature or CCT? 2700K? 3000K? And how many channels? And how may chips for each channel? And are they 3 watt chips?

    Think Outside The Box

Happy Birthday Canada :) It's time to secure my supply. If I want a cutting every 3 weeks then I'm going to need more than I currently have. For those that don't know exactly how to take cuttings I'll try and cover the main points in this update. I only want to take the minimum I need to...

    Think Outside The Box

Thanks for the kind words blazeup420, glad you like the grow. The seedplant has been in stretch for almost 2 weeks now and she's shot up. She is giving me good info on what to expect from the clones however, so I need to take note of what's happening. Here she is this morning, so almost 2 weeks...

The Quest For Trichomes (a Story Of Micro Cultivation)

Basically they will always be more advanced. Plants contain hormones called auxins that force them to grow upwards. The highest concentration of auxins is right at the top of the plant. If you cut just below that then the cutting will be sprinting out of the ground. When you take a cutting from...

The Quest For Trichomes (a Story Of Micro Cultivation)

Most peeps would be more than happy with those plants Smacka. Alternating nodes can be a sign of maturity or low light conditions. When coupled with preflowering it can only be maturity however, so it's a very good sign ;) I could go into great detail about my philosophy on clones but it is...

Thanks Midwestjay. As I often find myself saying to the women in my life: It might not look like much to you but it's all the world to me :)

The Quest For Trichomes (a Story Of Micro Cultivation)

Plants seem to be getting back to their old selves mate. The colouring now suggests they are just below where they could be so I'd up the dose to 1.5ml and try feeding every 2nd watering. Same for the 45 day seedplant. Just keep an eye on them. It is normal to have leaves under the canopy turn...

    Think Outside The Box

Thanks Smacka. The ideal system is to have 2 clones available at all times. I then top the oldest 1 and root the top. The bottom part gets a week to recover and then goes straight in to flower. They are all a bit bigger than I would like but I should be ok. There's a simple bit of knowledge...

    Think Outside The Box

Sorry for the lack of updates, had to make a few road trips recently so the grow took a back seat. I kept everything in the clone cab for simplicity and only took the large seedplant out last Sunday. She looked terrible, but a week on and things are settling down. The new 20w LED in the clone...
