Auto's are the thing now. No sweating light leaks. I grow Auto's in hot soil. It's great because basically I ph the water and that's it.

One reason for the pt method is to soften the outer shell. Sometimes even with pt method they can barely break through the outer shell.

If it were me, I'd take that big one and plant it into a cup and bury it so that the top one inch is above the dirt. Then water.

I am growing with the same medium. It looks to me like you mixed the soils towards the "hot" side. Also, you should mix a little dolomite lime to the top soil.

That's a good looking girl there. As for needing nutes towards the end of cycle, I top off with more ss here and there. That usually works great. And being that the ss is organic, I don't flush either. Keep me posted on your grow, looks nice.
