Same here just had mine installed best thing ever! I had to cut the length on my lineset, had a pro do it. Its actually not that hard though just take a pipe cutter cut the end off and use a flaring tool with a clutch and bam done. Hard part was the vacuuming of the lineset he made it look...

I did that once with a can of doktor doom, dont spray the actuall plant with it, dont let it saturate the leaves. I dont know if its the aerosol that burns the leaves or what not, just had a similar experience. Its funny cause the next time I bought one the guy at the shop mentioned dont spray...
