Leaf buds mutation. I suspect one of my plants also has this mutation, except the new bud sites keep popping up at random points along the branches (not at nodes) instead of on the fan leaves.

it was a total bargain price I didn't really need a light tbh but its such an outright bargain for a light with Samsung lm301b and a meanwell driver 660w

Lol
Nice light bro, I'm not familiar with 1000w but I'd expect there's not much difference between the dimensions of them, I had a quick look at the website and my light is 46.46'' x 44.88'' x 2.76''

Hopefully this week I'll be able to get it hung and take measurements from both lights for comparison I've blueberry seeds and a few clones to go under it asap

I know LED puts off less heat, I am used to 1000W SV, in a 10'x10' room, well 3 of them actually. Now that Pop's gave the farm (which) his sister and bother sold at a fracking yard sale some 8yrs back. "Tenting" is fickle. How much heat does that bad bot put off?

Small update on my 12/12 start.

First seed (germinated 8/24) failed to open up after 10 days, so I threw it out. These seeds are about a decade old and were not stored properly. I also chose the runt of the pack, but was still hopeful it would pop. Soaked it until it sank, took about 5 hours, then right into paper towels maintaining 80%-90% RH and 70f-80f.

Oh well, on to the next seed.

On the night of 9/1, I germinated the largest seed of the pack. Took about 12 hours to sink, then into paper towels. Another 24 hours later and I see the seed has split open. Another 24 hours later, which brings us to this morning, a small black root tip shows itself. Now, another 12 hours later, the root is about 1/2 inch long. Will continue to wait until the root is about 2 inches long, then move it to the tent.

I'm kind of surprised that seed opened up so quickly. I was expecting to have to baby it for a week before seeing a root. This just means I get to bump up my grow schedule by a week. Hopefully the root will grow quickly over these next 60 hours so I can move it to the tent on Sunday.

I also found 2 premature seeds from the dispensary weed I have been smoking and figured I would also try to germinate them for the hell of it. They did not sink after 24 hours, but I moved them into the paper towels anyways. No changes since then and I expect there won't be any changes and these will end up in the trash.

I understand your pain on fantastic genetics not stored correctly. It's a tough one to accept. Maybe try a slow root, 24hr in some 82°F, and some Eldorado Spring water, Loosely damp surgical cheese cloth, covered by humidity dome. If it pops I would give it some 1/4 nutrient spray till 3/4" root. Then rock wool, set to 5.9. Dome/ spray, then watch an make sure to open the dome in the am, the PM an of course the midnight-3am snackage hr. "Who doesn't check the crop @ 3am when nature calls!!!

It is good that the packs come with freebies.

Cheesecloth is a wonderful idea! I never thought of using one for germinating. Will give it a try on my next batch of seeds after the main grow finishes.

I also read that using a tiny bit of h2o2 in the soak is supposed to help with older seeds. Might also give that a shot.

So true! I always check the plants (and seeds) when I wake up in the middle of the night.

To germinate seeds i use 2ml hydrogen peroxide to 1 litre of water (12%).
H202 is handy to have in your grow so i buy 5ltr lots it's only £14 for 5ltr, if you buy 1ltr from a hydro shop it costs £10/11.

Have a nice weekend everyone

Yep regular seeds tend to give me better quality. Free Fems usually give more quantity. I prefer solid reliable genetics. No my reveg of BritCoin, that's a different story. Free seed from my bank. Absolutely phenomenal. Have a second tent on the way just for her. Had to give her a haircut though till it arrives.
