The AK-47 is doing well. Had a minor hiccup with the water temp. I put a pack of 3 frozen water bottles in there not thinking about the reservoir being 1/5 the size of my closet grow. Water temp got down to 60f, but only for maybe an hour before I realized my mistake. Quickly corrected it by adding some room temp RO water. From now on it only gets a single water bottle.

I also got some Govee sensors so I can now monitor the water temps remotely. Waiting for the hub and hygrometers to show up so I can setup alerts and automation too.

I have been thinking about getting RO in the townhouse. The Eldorado Spring water is making the lil lady cringe every time I up the order.

It is worth it. Initial cost can hurt a bit. I use a Waterdrop filter which cost about $500 for the first 1100 gallons, then about $60 per 1100 gallons after that. There are cheaper options, but I wanted horizontal loading filters for easy filter changing under the cramped sink. Also learned that its change filter warning is time-based instead of volume-based, so I hooked it up to a flow meter so I only change filters based on their recommended gallons.

Distilled water at the nearby wholesale store sells for $1 per gallon. Might be able to find cheaper buying in bulk, but I doubt you can get the price down to $0.05 per gallon after initial setup costs. Even the first 1100 gallons is only $0.45 per gallon.

Edit: Thought I would mention the EC I get from the filter.

Tap water: 0.382 EC
RO water: 0.023 EC

The waterdrop has a screen that shows the output ppm (500 scale) and it can read anywhere from 2 to 20. It is pretty accurate too when I compared it with multiple other handheld meters.

Well, I think Ma,Lady will be onboard once I show her "my" spending and the way to resolve it, although I so love the results of DWC, 12/12, and Pure Colorado Spring water.

Ok here are my tents I have in "the" extra room. It's a man cave/ time out room when the lil lady wants to "well" disagree, not often. She is awesome, learning the trade. I love all Ma'Lady's. May all us 12/12 have a bountiful harvest!!

This is the second time to grow. The first time it was not legal because my medical card expired for lack of payment. I grew it my my own use for croniic pain. My flourenent lights were confinscated by police. Pled guilty to parafinilla. Had to attend 12 one step classes. Volinteer food bank. No fines. Been low income most of my life. Police sent a letter years later returning my lights. It was legallized now. I inherited two small Infinity LED lights from ex roommate used them to get the growth. I saved up and bought a huge light. My biggest obstical was getting seeds. My friend had left some that he had collected from when he would buy it from dispensary. He labled them. Golden goat and some big fat seed and some underdog seeds. The fat seed grew in three months. Thought it was a femail so I cloned it the most and cloned the other two. I got real good at cloning excepti didnt lable them.. It was time to bud. Turned out to be a male and most of the clones were male. One by oneI put the male outside. Its not easy to tell the sex until I put them in 12 hour light. I desided to put some pollan on the few of buds.. Didnt exspect that many seeds. Not sure when to harvest. Giving them one more week because i fertilized them with blood mill. It stinks and nit sure it will effect the tast.. The Golden goat is a slow growing. Its old no smell but seems to have more chrystal and sticky. Tast smooth. I love growing. Smoking seems to be killing me. I would like to do edables. Maybe somone can hire me to work in place that grows. Can't afford the electricity. Looking for natural control. My first seedling disapeared first day. I think something eat it. The hardest thing is germinating. I have an idea for that. Maybe a wet rag in a jare of water heated by the sun. Thank you reading.

I nearly killed my seedling!

Remember how I said I would need to turn off the water pump to access the reservoir?

Well my dumbass forgot to plug the water pump back in after adding a frozen water bottle. I think it was off for 8 hours or so. Seedling was looking so sad, bent all the way over barely keeping itself from resting on the lid of the cloner.

Plugged in the water pump. Folded up a small piece of paper towel to help prop the seedling back up. A few hours later and it looks like it never happened. Definitely going to pay more attention to the power strip now. This also reaffirms my decision to replace the water pump with air stones. I have some hooked up in the tent, being used as a makeshift humidifier at the moment, ready to be put in the cloner at any time.

That's always scary. I go camping during the summer. Terrified with what's happening inside my tents. Haha

So I germinated one Skunk#1 on 6/21. This one was a pain to get to grow. Put her into flower with a BritCoin clone at about 10" on the first.. I'm having a Girl!!! 12/12 regular seed.

I'm having a Girl!!! 12/12 regular seed. 12 hours on 12 hours off regular meaning not automatic flower? My apologies i have a little problem understanding. The picture looks like a male plant. Im reading having trouble figure out male from female young plants from seeds. I cloned a male that I thought was a femail. I cloned the other and turned out to be female. Only way is could figure it out was to put them to bud. I realized one little clone was female so I put it back on the light. Im learning. One thing i learned is to get a bigger grow tent. Not enough room for two. Maybe I should learn hydopontics. The big pots take of to much room. I think the cricket eat the plants

Brit was a clone from a previous crop. Skunk 1 is reg seed, very slow growth. BritCoin was a cut from flowering. That seed took just as long as it took me to clone with revert. Just sharing.

My exo and lemon cherry gelato clones were thinned out today, they had tons of small shoots after repeatedly cutting them back time and time again.

I wasn't sure about flower the mums or taking a fresh clone from them, I decided flowering the mums was the better option given limited time, even with time I'm not sure a clone would be off any benefits over the mum if they're both healthy.

As it happens I've got a clone so I'll get to see if it's worth the hassle in future?

Totally up to you, if the mother gave up good crop, I would roll with it. If it's an unknown that's a total crap shoot. That is why I only drop 12/12 reg seeds.
