Since discovering this thread a couple of days ago I've gone on a full blown deep dive on the topic.
It may sound like a stupid question but generally speaking how much would you stand to lose in size if you were only going to veg up to 2 week anyway?

It all depends on the strain you are going to grow and the height of your box (some strain can cause height problems when they stretch). For example, I had height problems with some skunks, I had to bend the apex. Your weight will be slightly higher if we compare it to a 12/12 from seeds, but nothing extravagant, it is rather at the level of the electricity bill that you will see the difference. For me, the 12/12 from seeds is really for small budgets and to be able to grow and harvest every 3 months, 3 and a half months. I started in February and I harvest at the end of May or the second week of June.

I grow seeds 2 per pot now I'd say I'm not losing anything, i was never big on vegging anyway.

If I consider all of the benefits with 12-12 any loss would be well worth it to me.

In 4wks they'll be sexed and in flower mode raring to go!

Eta...

They're bent for the light not each other.

Do you ever 12/12 sativas? If so how tall do they tend to get?

I can't answer your question. This is my first time growing sativa-dominant strains: Super Silver Haze, G13 Haze, and Mexican Sativa, which are the photos.
I'd like to know how they react to training under 12/12 from seed.

I want to tell you, stay connected to the thread I will post photos and comments, so you will have information.

Has any of you guys dealt with 12-12 seeds?

They've a list of seeds that do well with 12-12 from seed I've got these two in coco.

I've a few seeds left still to sprout I've not a lot of faith in them now tbh, maybe?
I soaked 2x lemon cherry gelato last night to add then put them into 2ltr airpots tonight

I've also some clones in 4" pots ready to go if needed I'll not be short.

This is the tent I got for vegging my seeds in 12-12 and a little bit pollen chucking?

I got the led installed tonight then decided there's too many ways to go south so I swapped back to t5s.

After they've grown on I can swap to led I think they're too fragile atm to suffer any mistakes I make with led, it's all moving along in the right. direction.

@Coconutz , To make your clones in 12/12, do you cut them at the start of flowering or during the stretch?

At that point they've filled out and I'm clearing the lower shoots away I clone them, there's advantages to cloning in flower.

This is the clones from these ^^^ if I'd cloned them in the regular way they'd be a pain to look after for the duration, this way I can keep a clone of each with minimal space and work untill I've smoked them.

They make neat bonsai mums to boot.

The clones have dense buds top to bottom some of the seed plants have nice dense buds and some I'm a bit disappointed with idk where I went wrong but most likely issues at the start of flowering.

The seeds are getting on for two weeks, I started them under 24hrs given them 11/12 days @24hrs then flipped them to 12-12 yesterday (Thurs 29th May)

I started another 2x lemon cherry gelato s1 last weekend I've kept 1 in 24hrs for now with a blueberry muffin that was slow to start.

hopefully it'll pick up

Have a nice weekend everyone
