So all the Super Critical seeds failed.

However, 4 days into germinating the Fruit Punch seeds and 4 of the 5 already have root showing.

The closet will be empty in about 2 weeks so once the roots are long enough they will go in the tent cloner box until the closet is ready.

So the seeds are moving along I'm still waiting on 1 but it's stirring I expect to see it in the morning

You might remember I re potted the clones from the best smelling plants.

I've been defoliating them frequently hoping to stop them getting out of control, the node spacing is encouraging.
idk when they're going to flower I've not got my flwr tent sorted out yet
Never mind I'm enjoying the vegging side atm

I've tried to correct the yellowing in those clones with 1.7ec 0.4 of that calmag it's not working
I've got a vague recollection of epsom salts helping previously, thing is that suggests calmag should help, pffft there's always some drama playing out

Have a nice weekend everyone 🕊

Here we go! 3 of them have long enough roots to fit into neoprene collars. Other seed with root tip showing is not showing any root growth, but I am still hopeful it will turn out fine. Last seed still has no root showing, but it has started to crack open.

Going to try to get away with not using the cloner box. Instead I put together some tiny DWC units made from large pill bottles and toilet paper rolls to help block light. Light nutrients in the solution and at roughly 6.0ph. Also removed all the shells and membranes.

First 2 with long enough roots will get the 2 empty units. Hopefully 1 of the 3 flowering plants will be harvested by the time the 3rd one is ready.

Good luck taming down them monster clones..lol. Taking leaf is just promoting more branching with them things. You'll prob end up culling branches too. They can get pretty congested. Theres just sooo much growth with those type clones. Its why I use them as much as I can.

Im excited to see how this flowers for ya.

So I thought I’d be cool and make some FFJ. I leaned a few things:
1. Consult more than one source for correct ratio to water for application.
2. This shit is super acidic.

I watered it in and within a couple mins my plants said fck you and I had to flush all 9, that was fun…lesson learned.
Edit: this was last weekend and they’ve recovered mostly…

This is really a trial run, but next time prob fewer plants and more LST…it’s a little crowded and canopy is uneven…onward. Pic from this morning.

I've always been intrigued by 12/12 from seed grows. I'm currently gearing up for a 4 Afghan Kush grow in 3.5gal SIP buckets in a 3x3.

The plan is to tie down the main tops, let 4 side shoots per plant catch up, then flip, giving me 5 colas per plant.

I figure it'll take around a 4 week veg for this. What type of yield difference would I be looking at just going 12/12 from seed instead?

I've got dozens of these seeds so I wouldn't mind trying this out if the potential yield is there.

That sounds real similar to my style. I get a few colas from seed and flowering clone plants with training.

I've fixed them down after sexing, i don't have much space I veg them in my clone tent then transfer them into the flower tent after sexing.

12-12 from seed community journal

That sounds good @figolus I'll look forward to seeing how that turns out for you, i'm always looking for improvements. I was growing them as normal until I got some understanding of growing from 12-12 and established a few phenos worth the effort, it's time now to concentrate more on clones and...
www.thcfarmer.com
If I had space I'd tie them earlier or whenever it was feasible with the seedlings/young plants.

I can't find much i posted about it that's odd
Anyhow it worked out well I've 2x grape fog seeds started i might bend/fix them.
There's a lot of reasons tie/bending makes sense if you have the space available, the whole plant get equal light across the canopy versus diminishing light top to bottom.

I found some pictures of during/after tieing them.

They still turned ok but there's room for improvement with tieing them earlier.
Tieing them later left me with a stem to deal with, had I tied them earlier they'd have been easier to manage/shape.

They did turn out nice....

If ya decide to do that again small floaters would help ya train them. I use 12x12 like this to flower if I want a smaller plant. 3 in a row fit a 2x4 space nice.

Hey bro thank you, i was looking at yours a couple of days back i decided I could use 3 for a row of clones at the back jusr for starters
Recently I've been growing a mixture of clones and seeds, clones for my staple smoke and seeds for a little variety and fun finding something new
I've been using those red training clips they're ok but labor intensive compared to a wire screen,

I've couple of monster clone pics I flowered time before last.
Exo

Lemon cherry gelato

I've also a nice gorrila glue #4 she's getting a break this time

I've got a new 8x4ft I can't wait to get that sorted I'm going to be rocking a clone crop and another micro blueberry crop, the micro grow was fun I want to try that again.

You'll love the big tent. I have a 4x8 and have grown a lot of weed in there. Seems your moving up and im moving to downsize. Giving my 4x8 to my daughter. Ill keep my 4x4,2x4, and 2x3 for the move. I can grow a lot in the winter with these. I can also veg some outdoor plants.

Takes a little time messing with the flowering clones but they are worth the little extra effort. If managed right they produce big time branching.

Can't wait to see how you lay out this big tent. That'll keep ya busy for sure.

Curiosity peaked. What are these for @Coconutz? Shielding sensors from direct light I assume.

It sounds like a contradiction but I'm downsizing bro, I don't intend to use all of the 8x4ft only about half, half is going to be like my workshop, a problem a had was smell getting out of the tent when swapping plants around or anything that involved the plants outside of the tent now it'll be contained always, I've got somewhere to clone, trim, tie, drink tea and smoke joints

Hey bro, the white thing is a data logger, they're handy it let's me check on things without opening the tent and upsetting the stable environment.

The other one is only a piece of card tube, it acts as a shade from the light and ensures the temperature probe is reading the air temp and not radiated heat from light.

Good thinking. I figured it was shielding some sort of sensor from radiated heat. I may just snag this idea myself. My logger lives outside my tent, but I've been thinking of ways to shield my sht45 temp/rh sensor from radiant heat. I was thinking a cut open ping pong ball but this seems like it may work a little better. Also need to figure out how I'm going to shield my par sensor without blocking the light.

@superchola get your own thread. Stop posting all the same photos over and over and repeating your bullshit about humidity and elevation. Stay on your own thread!!!

Yeah @TerpBeans it doesnt matter what the effects are or what it taste like. As long as it doesnt mold! And act like you didnt see all those pics of the indoor grows with lights and fertilizers. Dehumidifiers arent a thing that far south.

Edit: this will be the only reply. my apologizes.
