Not true that’s like saying you don’t need sleep cuz it’s not dark out, autos need the dark period to reach full potential

Photoperiods need dark. Autos, with their set life cycle, will do it all regardless of dark cycle. I have 4 autos going 24/7 as we speak and all are extremely healthy and filled with bud sites. Can only fit two plants in a 3x3 and the canopy takes up most of the tent. I will give them a flush when there's a week left then darkness for about 3 days then harvest. That's the only darkness I give my girls and I'm quite happy with their growth, bud and trichome production.

The plant we are talking about in the first post is almost for sure a photoperiod plant that you were told mistakenly that it was auto. Custom99 said the plant is 3 months old. Has anyone else seen an auto that took 3 months to flower?

A lot of modern autos are made by crossing photoperiod pants with autos to try and incorporate certain traits and characteristics into an auto flowering form. It's extremely difficult to get a stable cross between ruderalis and photoperiod plants, If the breeder doesnt get the genetics homozygous there will still be variable traits expressed in the offspring. For example out of 10 seeds you might get 7 that will autoflower and 3 that are photoperiod.

Not saying it wouldn’t work I’ve ran 24/7 myself I personally prefer my results at 18/6 , and 24 hrs of darkness is enuff for me at the end of life.

One downfall of the auto is I rarely get two plants with similar structure even though they are supposed to be sisters lol so far I’ve only had 1 not flower at all
