Hey guys newbie here & I need some help. I'm running a 13 gallon 12 site under current system & I'm having problems with the plants in the system...plants 2 weeks into veg & r yellowing, curling under( the claw), drooping, burnt tips...2 sum it up they look like shit! I'll give u guys a run down of my set up & environment...

12 13 gallon buckets 160 gallon system
Strain is dinafem's industrial plant
4 1000 watt hps
4 8 lamp t5's
1hp chiller
Co2 tank
RO system
H&g line nutes
Ph 5.9
Room Temp 82
Water temp 68
Humidity 50%

Now this is my second unsuccessful grow in this system...the first time plants died & this time there on there way out again. I can't seem to pinpoint why as my environment is perfect to my knowledge. I think the problem might be my ppm. I have a grower with "9 years experience" mixing my nutes for me but he has no experience with an under current system. My question is do you think throwing rooted clones in a ppm of 850+ might be the problem? If so what should I start it at?

150-200 ppm for rooted cuts.....shouldn't be as high as 850 until like full bloom, 8-10 weeks down the road from now. The plants are basically dehydrating and burning in a salty bath.

Good news is it's a easy fix.....fire the 9 year guy and mix the nutes yourself.

I third that - 850 was max ppms i ran without seeing slight signs of over fertilization in the UC

and the guy who has 9 years experience mixing nutes should know that 850 is a bit hot for any freshly rooted and transplanted clones - even in a normal system half of that is fine for starters

My plants were suffering from the same problem and showing the exactly same signs of yours. I gave them too mych nutrients, (800 PPM) in the 3rd week of flowering. Right now they're in the 6th week having only 640 PPM, hope they get bounce back.
Good luck!

Keep the faith, and never give up. I have lost 2 plants in my 13 gal x 8 and may lose a few more along the way but this is the system to spend your time learning as the returns can be large. I hoping all goes well, peace and positive vibes your way.

All depends on the strain. My romulan can start off at about 400ppm and is almost 1000 end of veg, 2000 end of flower. Some people never go above 600, trial and error.

Yea thanks guys I figured that. The guy who sells this under current system out here told the guy who mixes my nutes 2 mix them using the h&g aggressive feed chart & the rooted clones were actually thrown in at 1200ppm at first. Just for the under current guy to tell him he made a mistake to just dilute it to 850ppm and follow the normal chart. As of today the new growth & top growth are green & looks fine & the plants are a little less droopy. I'm thinking maybe I should lower ppm to 600-650 would that be good? plants look very small for 2 weeks into veg, maybe the high ppm stunted growth? I will try to post a pic today to give you guys an idea of what the plants look like

200ppm.....excess nute ppm will result in limited water uptake.

Call CC and ask what they think....I'd be surprised if they tell you anything above 250 for rooted cuts.

PPM's are too high for sure.. 300 max for cuttings... ALSO make sure your water level isnt to high this was a big problem for me.. You need to have a nice solid root system or your roots will turn to mush and die... i started mine by hand watering for the first 2 weeks... are your plants in cubes or aero cloned without root cubes???
