i read that i can start, veg, and flower in a standard 2 liter bottle? i got two 400w hps. trying to make sog work. any advice.

You Can Grow in Just about any container. Just a 2 Liter Bottle is not well Designed for Gorwing. The Roots Wont have Much Room To Spread Horizontally. The Air Circulation to Roots Would Be Minimal. The More Roots you have the more Bud You Can Have.

A two liter bottle of soda costs more where I live than what I pay for my 1 gallon Veg buckets anyway. Just the pennies in my pocket.

Not to mention, most 2L bottles are clear. no,no

Like the others said, ditch the bottle idea. You can get grow bags for really cheap. You probably want the 1 gallon bags if you want to do a short clone crop in SOG style. If you want bigger plants then use bigger containers. A general rule of thumb I use is 1-2 gallons of soil for each month the plant will be in the container.

Make sure you spend the time to get your room and everything setup well first. Pay special attention to lightproofing the room (one of my lessons learned my first time indoors) and ventilation and temp control.
