My first two sprouted quick and normal from what I’ve seen but I’m really nervous about the last one . She was taking longer than the others to drop her seed case so today I used water, tweezers , and patience to find that she doesn’t look as green or healthy.

Any information would be super appreciated .

That’s why she was keeping her hat on she wasn’t ready to drop it.

So what you have now is a 1/2 ripe seedling. I can’t see her Color to well I would of expected to see it be yellowish/white where it wasnt ripe however yours almost looks brown maybe it’s the light or something.

Either way it should pull back all it is/was is one seedling had less seed vigour and needed more time.

Don’t overwater & keep the bottom of the pot soggy and your should be good

Enjoy the crazy adventure

AH I feel so dumb now , it was planted on the 13th so I thought it was late . Also it is definitely brown if not dead looking on the underside and the stem looks brownish .

I feel bad for hurting my baby, but it’s good to know the right info on what to do. Thank you!

I think some just aren’t meant to be great man, here is a pic I just took, the smaller stunted one had the same issue yours did, I popped the cap just like you did, and she just never grew up like the others. Even her leaves are funny looking.

definitely don’t feel dumb it’s a case of live and learn in this game.

I’ve took many a hat off to early when I first started.

If you took it off and it looked like it does and not yellow/white I don’t think taking its hat of killed it, it may have been dead already. if it was brown when you did take it off my guess then is the soil got to dry and you just took the hat of a already dead seed.

They can bounce around a bit when you water them and become unrooted. That or it just got to dry when the root was to small.

If there is any green it has a chance however after reading what you said it maybe dead.

Again don’t think less of yourself we all have to start somewhere no one expects to get it right first time. imo the first year off growing is a learning experience,we have all made some cock ups on the way It’s simply a case of learning as you go along

Thanks guys, I see a tad bit of green so I'll see how she ends up and post some more pictures. My best bet was the watering issue as well, I wasn't measuring my water and I went and got a measuring bottle to make sure all 3 would be even. I see online, its about 200ml of water each ,which I'll start here soon since they feel dry by weight.

I sent a DM, but here are the updated pictures. Worth keeping? like you said some just don't turn out well after that treatment.

One of my current plants started like that 3½ months ago
And here's a couple recent pics nearly ready to chop
So if it was me I'd give it a chance
