I have two grow tents, one 4x8 and one 4x4 with a window in between them. The 4x8 has a 6 inch exhaust fan and the 4x4 has a 4 inch exhaust fan.
I bought a vent kit for the window but it only has a 4 inch port.
Would it be okay to connect both fan ducts to a Y at the exhaust vent? And is it a problem that the vent is only 4 inches, essentially reducing the 6 inch fan?

So if we take the 4" first we can get the area (square inches of the duct) by using this formula Pie r2. 2 x 2 =4 x 3.1416= 12.57 square inches of duct moving air
Now we have the 6" duct 3 x 3 = 9 x 3.1416 = 28.27 square inches of duct moving air.
We have a combined square inched of 40.84
The opening in the window is 12.57 square inches.
Will there be a restriction in air flow?

You can only exhaust air if it can be replaced in that same space...in other words you can't blow what you can't suck When I was setting up a vent system through my window I used a piece of plywood and drilled out 2 6" holes (one for intake and another for exhaust) and then screwed it onto my window screen frame and place back into place in the window frame and it worked great. Here are a few photos for ideas.
