It's been awhile since i posted anything on my 1gal challange and my photo grows. I will get to it when my lights come on at 0822 LOL what do you think about that timer @BearWater . I've had power breaks so it threw it off and i never changed it back LOL. Still at 12/12 though ummm hopefully. I've been feeling flu sick for nearly a month now partly the reason i've not be so involved. Chest and now muscle spasams mid back from coughing. Went to visit my sister this weekend she's been concerned about me so i had to show myself and my brothers stayed with her so all 4 of us together was like the best feelings. I promised them i'd call my Dr. and get a appt. so now i got to do it. When lights come on i'll get some pics up. I'm dealing with some yellowings though so i need to fix that. At the least my cough doesn't produce any yellow or green ever it's just clear but thick yuck. Hey i worked in hospitals for 35yrs so sorry if the mention of mucus pukes you guys out.

Do you use a model 69 controller? I run a small oil radiant heater in my tents. Works really good.

Hey Natep! Yeah I have the 69 pro : ) I’m in the market for a radiant heater, Costco usually has some come out around this time. I was considering going to the “re-store” but figured for piece of mind I would buy new.

What size heater do you use? Wattage?

Gal I think it’s great! Hahaha! I went out last night to close things down and my sf1000 was already off! It was only 730! those dial timers are hard to get spot on. I need to get things plugged into my controller and use that!

Damn lady! That sounds miserable. Get yourself checked out! Don’t wait that long! : ) I hope you start feeling better soon, dont let it go too long. You havent gotten bit by a tick have you? The lingering flu could be anything! Have you had flu recently? I had long flu a few years ago, sounds kind of like that, but who knows!

Hey Nate im not sure if you were asking about the controller in regards to on/off with the heater. The heater is plugged into a dial timer for now, im going to plug it into the controller with a smart plug. I love that thing!

Better than schmegma.
I also didn't get a pic today. Had a very hectic morning so no chance to check on my plant before lights out. Maybe tonight. Get you some chicken soup and brandy. Feel better gal!

Fire hazard. I bought one went back the same day. Turned it off before going to sleep. Several hours later smelled burning unplugged it. The power cord was red hot in the off setting.

I think you’re in Oregon? I saw several posts on other sites talking about something going around in Oregon. I also talk to doctors offices about insurance and have talked to several sick nurses.

Yeah running the heater always trips me out. What was your setup? A heater plugged into the wall? Was it a brand new? Did you have it on timers or anything like that?

Last winter it got really cold and my heat pump for my house hvac locked up at like 2 am ( and the government wants to mandate electric heat people would freeze to death ). So I bought a portable oil heater to move around the house for some heat based on reviews on this board an oil heater would be safe. After returning it I found lots of reviews. One guy it melted the power outlet, including pictures. The device was directly to the wall. The instructions stated no power cords or anything should be used.

That sucks man! And scary too! I was looking at reviews of heaters and now dont trust them hahah! Even though most of them are BS to begin with. Hmmmm… im looking at moving my veg time a bit to keep the lights on that side and could cycle some of the warmer air into the lights off flower side! More ducting and inline fans!

I watched this video a few weeks ago and it was pretty interesting. If only there was a weather proof way to flip my air conditioner around to run it as a heater during cooler months. Lol

This is the one I use in my 2x4 tents. It is really small. Seems to work well.

I control the heater off my model 69 controller with a uis plug. Having it all on 1 controller makes it super easy.

Are you having to max it out? Or is medium and low working for you? That looks like a nice little unit. I’m thinking something like this would work good in my room, it doesnt take much to get it warm. It’s just the staying warm that isn’t the greatest.

Just mid range. Also put a two degree buffer in the settings on the controller. I just don’t let it go below 70.

I do the same. Have you had any issues with the outlet? I had one stay on even when the controller was saying it was off. And now just today the same thing is happening to the replacement. It started working again but I feel like it’s just a matter of time before it happens again.

You probably know this already. There can be “on” settings for for equipment that are “off” I would make sure that wasn’t the case : ) I have unplugged my fan from the controller and that shit just came on, it was still “connected” to the controller and getting power from it? It was funky. Just something else to FYI : )

Did you setup the heater with an advanced automation instead of the standard settings?
If not, try making an advanced automation and see if it stops the issue.
Make sure to only have 1 trigger active.

Did you use a new UIS cable when you received and setup the replacement or did you use the original cable?
