Can you check around restaurants!? I know they got a lot of square buckets for stuff they get from the MFGers

Bakeries. I was a doughnut man for a while when I was younger. Almost all the fillings/icings come in 5 gallon square buckets. They are white and semi transparent though, so you would have to cover or paint them or something. But yes try bakeries and restaurants. Including grocery store bakeries.

Great white on amazon is 15 bucks for an oz whereas Mykos WP on amazon is 20 bucks for 12 oz.

I'd go with the Mykos WP. It's just as good if not better than GW.

But it's also really easy to make your own -

Buy one bag of Mykos and just use it to reproduce more

You can get a pound of mosseae/intraradices for $17 from an Ag supplier. They have some good targeted biologicals at great prices.

Great White fans should check out their boosted version. It's a sister product of Great White, so to speak. Same company, different product line. It's basically Great White + Seaweed Extract/Humic Acid. It's about $30/4 oz shaker can. A little on the expensive side but the stuff is really good. I discovered it at Walmart, of all places. They sell the .5 oz pouches for usually less than $5 but I think they are catching onto the myco craze and recently raised the price to $7/pouch. I used it at half strength with a touch of molasses and got great results.

Cambros! But they would need to be covered or coated to block light. They are usually clear or white.

Maybe a lot of stuff now comes bag in box, but sure no harm in asking.
I was thinking about asking for 1 gallon glass jugs a while back, but then went wtf are you thinking, as I doubt they ship anything in glass gallon jars anymore,

I get what you're sayin. I grew NFT for a long time, still do whenever I get the urge to. I made my own homemade channels out of plywood and 8 mil plastic sheets to line it. Actually worked out very well. I made my own because I couldn't find any pre-made that fit my specifications and they charge way too much money for them. So I took a couple sheets of 3/4 inch plywood and built em into 6 channels each 8 feet long, approximately 8 inches wide and 6 inches deep, each channel with 6, 6 inch holes for net pots, for a total of 36 plants. It wasn't easy to build out of plywood, but I'm sort of a hillbilly master craftsman like that

Then I just lined them with 8 mil black plastic sheeting, used some silicone caulking to glue it to the sides and bottom of the channels, so that it can be removed and replaced as needed. All in all, the cost of the channels only added up to like 2 sheets of plywood, a 20 dollar roll of plastic, a 6 inch hole saw, a tube of silicone caulking, and some wood screws.

At any rate. I think the problem with your idea may be, first, keeping an even film of water, and second, water flowing too fast. But there's always a way. Just gotta do some trial and error experimentation. I'm a huge fan of taking the road less travelled. Let me know if you ever figure this out!

Yea too powerful of a flow has been a concern also. I think yucca could resolve the root surface contact issue tho. I don't know that it could be adapted to work or not. Once I came up with the idea for the aeroponics system I built, the whole NFT thing fell right outta my head.

The product is called Plant Success. Here is pic of the pouches.
You can also buy direct from Plant Revolution, the parent company.
