I think @GNick55 posted that he matches the daylight before taking them outdoors but I don't remember when he starts that.
I'm cutting mine 10mins. each day until I go from 18hrs. to 16 and keeping it there.

just start your plants at 16/8 and you could leave it there till putting outside, just make sure your over 15 hours daylight outside

So, basically we'd be growing nothing but an expensive Green smoothie high out of a whole plant? Like that dude on utube, who added a huge bowl of canna leaves to his juicer for a nutritious drink & ended up high for 10 hrs? LOL!

Hot damn.!!! My Zamnesia order made it in time for this years run.

They threw in a pack of Fruit punch and a grinder.. Guess I'll try that one next year, since I'd already planned on Runtz for this years desert plant.

Glad I put em all in. Tornado about 7 miles from me at 3am. I didn’t have to run out there in my underoos.
Beefsteak, Cherokee Purps, Broccoli and the ladies (3 weeks Tuesday) all well.

Thanks Gal, it's really warm here too! But also wet, we usually get one with the other in the Spring. I couldn't resist and walked the property. Lots and lots of mole runs, deer poo and dig marks from something a little smaller, could be squirrels, skunks or possums. Moved the Pro Mix from the garage to the porch. Just think a couple of weeks ago that wouldn't have been possible with all the snow. LOL

So u won't pop a bean before May.? I guess it'd keep their size down some.

I shoot for 2nd to 3rd week of March for popping beans. That gives um 5-6 weeks before going outside. I'm trying some regs this year, so they were started earlier, so I can sex them out quicker, and get um in final pots.

I never pop mine until mid-May. Got mine started 1st week of June last year and they still got over 7 feet tall and lyielded 2 lbs each.

What's you geographic location, though. Most farming is done in May - early June, in Ohio. That's what I did for most of my young life...worked on farms. All types of farms. Vegetable, grain, dairy, and beef farms. May is always a mad house in my parts, weather permitting.

I'm in the Inland Empire in S. California. 60+ years ago it was nothing but citrus groves and dairies here. It's agricultural central all the way up the state. My fruit trees (Nectarine, Orange, Avocado, Apple) have started flowering, the nectarine tree has fruit and will be ripe in May. But anything to do with gardening doesn't get started until mid to late May here. Last year my cannabis was harvested from late September up into mid-November. Just depended on the plant.

No doubt. Climate's nice here, but it's crowded and expensive. I need about 10 more years in my house then my wife and I want to sell it and buy some land up north and get tf away from people. Lol

I'm not really in my desired location either. I grew up on land your after. Country hick in the suburbs, now. (Wife wanted to be near her mom) But hey...it's paid for, thankfully. And with her not able to work anymore, makes it impossible to move, now.

I really miss walking out the back door, and heating up the barrel on my AK while puffin a J, and taking an occasional rabbit for the pot.
But that life is gone...damn the power of the fur..!!

We bought 2 acres in horse country 45 years ago. The horses are long gone and the cul-de-sacs are multiplying. Unfortunately at our age we need to stay closer to civilization so can't entertain the idea of moving out farther. Things we used to DIY without a thought, now have to be done by someone else.
