It's a bit of a journey but I did find a couple clones of something i will want to have around.
Nice nice roots in a 4"square
Got their uppot
It might be a little ( a lot ) early
8 weeks till MAY 1ST.
I might just veg and uppot again. Do my day 0 prune and then root those pruned cuts and then those go out.

We bought 2 acres in horse country 45 years ago. The horses are long gone and the cul-de-sacs are multiplying. Unfortunately at our age we need to stay closer to civilization so can't entertain the idea of moving out farther. Things we used to DIY without a thought, now have to be done by someone else.

The one benefit of owning a home in S. California is, we bought it 14 years ago and it's more than tripled in value. If we sold it today at value we could buy 80-100 acres in Mendocino/Humboldt County where we want to retire. Only want about 5 acres of workable/livable land and the rest is just the woods for privacy and freedom. Another 10 years in our house and we'll have enough to retire a decade before the government officially recognizes us as retired. So yeah that's the goal.

Good morning, growers. Thumbed through the last couple pages and people all gaging when it's safe to put the plants out...

Might have been brought up and if so I'll reiterate, some strains will move to flower if you throw a sudden light change at them from 18/6 down to 15.5 hour day but it's not true flowering,, it's light stress that messes with the hormones and you can avoid it by slowly matching the time to whatever new schedule you're changing to.

And just a sidebar, some folks will argue it's better for the plants to even taper to your 12/12 so you're giving the plant a slow transition that's more natural.

One thing you can use to your advantage is maturity of the plant. There's no set clock, I've had them mature in as little as 3 weeks and I've waited as long as 3 months... but until that little plant starts throwing nodes offset, you've got a window of time where it doesn't matter if they're getting too much dark period they're not mature enough to worry about. I know this is a total duh, but, like, duh, right? So you can put em out plenty early and the caveat is just do it more carefully if they've hit maturity.

Do it soon! The wife and I talked about it for over a decade, then she got sick and now we're going nowhere. Do it as soon as you can

We're getting there. This week we're above freezing during the day and sometimes even at night too. LOL

Yes, all the snow is gone and we're trending in the right direction. I'm getting my paper towels wet in 5 weeks from today. Start my autos on day 102 and a couple weeks under T-5s and then outside in May. But hey, who's counting.

In case this has any value... two strains I can mention their photo stability for your consideration. Not going to call one bad and one good because they have their place, but moving them outside you might favor one strain over another based on their photo stability. One is Grape Pie. Responds very quickly to light changes. Starts getting hairy after 3 days. The other is Ice Cream Cake. Very slow to respond to flip. First signs can take up to 10 days. So if you're going in through the outdoor, as an example Ice Cream Cake is going to go smoother with the transition, and is also going to be more forgiving with light screw up in the tent and low level light leaks. The other side of that coin, Grape Pie offers a nice quick predictable flip and takes off running.... so each has its place, and this is one of those things to remember to think about is how what you're running is going to handle what you want to throw at it. That's it, thought of the moment and hope you're all having a great Sunday.

Yeah I hear you man. Sorry about your wife also. Hopefully she feels better. My girls are 12 and 9 so getting both of them through school is my first priority. I've got 20 years with my company as well, so it's just trying to put my head down and push through this last part. But who knows. Things can change pretty quickly.

Correct, as you’re aware the stretch occurs in the absence of light or as a byproduct of a light source being too far away and therefore outside the required PAR parameters for optimal growth
They are starved of light from day one up until the end of week 9

So what's the purpose of it, is there any benefit to this that you've noticed over several grows. What about hardening off the plant for stronger stalk and branches..?

Just curious ,how does rolling a seed around in your mouth for 5 minutes change the genetics of the seed. Would love to hear an explanation on this.

The secret to personal medicinal marijuana is in the preparation of the seed itself

Marijuana is generic in nature unless personalised to you, genetically…

Roll the seed around in your mouth for 5 minutes prior to sowing

This forms the chemical bond between you and your plant

Now your plant knows exactly what you need because it knows where you are deficient

For full remedy of most ailments, activation of the endocannabinoid system must take place first

Peace

It wouldn't change the inherited dna but perhaps by adding a unique microbiome to the seed surface prior to germination it could infer some signaling changes that are beneficial????? But I think opposite is also plausible and the unaccustomed environment may hamper or even harm the young seed as well. The human mouth is a cesspool, but it's our cesspool and we've adapted to it.

That would be an easy test to prove out though.

Gotta say, this seems like an excellent example of "bro science ".
