you could put the inline fan(if it is a inline) before the lights so its blowing over the lights and not sucking hot air into the fan.
just a thought
Youll def. need a/c with that many lights.
4 600s would cover more area than 2 1000s.
More heat more light more electricity per month
Figure out what your looking to spend a month and what your wanting for yield

Im rocking 600W HPS' too, but (not like anyone here isnt "up" on their hydro education, but 600W is the best bang for both your wallet, your plants, and your electricity bill...
600W-HPS=140 lumens per kW
600W-MH=120 lumens per kW
600W-CFL=100 lumens per kW
Sooo...as long as you put in a small air-conditioner and fan you will be good in the spring and winter months but when you hit summer, depending on your area code in Cali (805 myself) you will have problems with humidity, thereby leading to "botrytis, airborne fungus, disease, etc...." in that case...spend a little cheddar and fork out the humidifier...Other than that....stay with the 600W you will not be unsatisfied!!! and you'll be able to pack around 30 or so plants in there for a SOG setup...or a SCROG with larger cola'd plants.
Hope it helps...

Also you could get 4lb pretty easy once you have your strains dialed in.
4 plants under each 600 would be 16 plants, yield a qp per plant and you have a lb per 600... A qp per plant is very obtainable!
I run 4 - 600's and this is exactly how l do it. l too was afraid of frying it due to the heat, so l push through 4 and it works just fine
Look at the first few pics, that's how mine's done
i have a 6'' inline fan easily handling 4k lights... the fan seems to be running fine, and it's been working hard for a year and a half.
if you have cool nights consider running the lights on during the night and exhausting the hoods and the room into the attic or out a window, and then using the ac during the day when the lights are off... then at least your only using your ac 12 hours.
For your info
Fellow grower here in cali has 1600 watts, 12k btu air cond, all the 120v equipment and his bill is around 350-400 a month depending on outdoor temps. That also includes his house usage, refridg, micro, etc.

Not sure if l have a journal for the 2nd time l ran or not...
But l am getting 4 steady now, that was 2 years ago l believe when l first set it up. l was running some low yielders and it was the 1st time l had run the waterfarms, so things were light that round
I have some good yielders l run and l veg for about a month, thats what got me to 4. I also dont run the waterfarms right now in the summer, running 50% coc 50% chunky perlite in 7 gal pots right now, and the results are great
Just give'm a little veg and you should be able to pull it off, no problem man
l have a rather large veg room, so l can veg the next 16 in there while my other round is finishing up, it's nice to have and saves me a month of extra time in the bloom room
Good luck!
Yep its hyrdro, so there are pumps that run, not to much more than that.
Yes soil tests better, at least from my taste experience.

there's an idea. i forgot that i wouldnt neccesarily need to have a carbon filter attached so i could in fact push it over them. thanks for that thought! :banana1sv6:
Well technically you could go Carbon filter > inline fan > then connect to the lights.. you would be creating a negative pressure in the room, the inline fan pulls air through the carbon filter, it is then scrubbed, then it would cool your lights and then exit..
