The hiccup I see is that they claim it is to be used in conjunction with natural light! Like it is specifically made for greenhouses! Will be interesting if you keep it!i knew it was 66%red 33% blue. but not no blue. maybe it will be interesting to see how that does for a vegatative plant. i thought I read somewhere that the full spectrum were good for both vegatative and flowering plants. just not at the pricetag. if i find out it doesnt work later on.
You hit the nail on the head I think after reading the sf was red with a deep red & they were claiming it was great for growth and flowerThe hiccup I see is that they claim it is to be used in conjunction with natural light! But that is just one model! My mistake! If you have the 630 F, then you might be in business!I don’t think this is the spectrum graph you are looking for! I think this is a specialized light!View attachment 2330098
How big is the space you're growing in?ive seen a redblue light do pretty well in a tent but it was definately more blue than this one. its definately purple or pink but not red. if i could just sneak through vegatative getting by with it then i think it would do pretty good from what i understand in flowering about red lights. is it not gonna veg at all or what?
Depends on which model you have! If you have the 630R I don’t think it will veg very good.ive seen a redblue light do pretty well in a tent but it was definately more blue than this one. its definately purple or pink but not red. if i could just sneak through vegatative getting by with it then i think it would do pretty good from what i understand in flowering about red lights. is it not gonna veg at all or what?
Looks really stretched to me.i think what im gonna do is just run some vegatative at the par settings of 300 for seedling 600 for vegatative, 900 for flowering that it is capable of under the tempurature that it can be and see what ya'll think. thats my male plant but i have some seeds coming in the mail that im gonna breed it with soon. just put it under there to see how it would do after being under a 5w for 2mo. i thought that it had stretched maybe i was wrong. heres another picture of the plant from the side with its miniature vegatative growth and also what do you think, is it ready for vegatative lighting or would you consider it still a seedling? has it stretched?
i meant to add before that it runs cooler and equivelent in white light is way hotter. it runs 3.6 and most whitelights are only 2.8
I run the HLG Scorpion RSpec 600 in my 8x4 along side 2 VS4000.I looked up the specs on that light, it has almost no blue. That light is not really suitable for your purposes, I’d return it and go for something more full spectrum, maybe with a little lean red. I run an HLG rspec for my entire grows and have no stretch issues.
I’m running a 550 rspec, got it refurbished about 4 years ago, it’s been great. HLG customer service is outstanding. I asked if they sold a kit to remote the driver, they didn’t, but sent me exact instructions on how to do it, complete with a parts list and where I could get the parts! That’s customer service.I run the HLG Scorpion RSpec 600 in my 8x4 along side 2 VS4000.
Love the HLG, got it for $230 used (barely). Immediately noticed the difference in the first grow with the HLG in my tent!
