That light is not what you need at all. And there is a reason why a few off us use HLG.

There are many good lights out there. I've had success using ViparSpectra and AC Infinity lights, but the next time I buy a light I'd be willing to try a few other brands, like HLG or Spider Farmer.

Doesn't look to bad, I've never personally use that brand but I've seen it before.

My only concern is they don't list the manufacturer of the diodes.

May consider looking at the AC Infinity Ionframe Evo3 or Spider Farmer SE4500. Both use Samsung branded EVO diodes, are around the same watts as the one you found but actually quite a bit cheaper then that one.

Check them out in the links below

The LED's are Ledestar, which are low to medium power LED's. I'd stay with theSamsung 301B or 301H. Now is the time to check all the "Black Friday" deals.

I’ve read about people, tearing their legs up and faces up with chainsaws! But I still go cut wood with one! You sure as hell not gonna grow any pot without one! We are just trying to get you kind of pointed in the right direction to make that growing as easy as possible! But I can’t wait to follow your grow! Hope you take us along!

I may well get a HLG Scorpion Diablo for a new 4 x 4 Gorilla tent I'm getting. I don't have to buy it right now because they always take care of me when I buy. Not everybody wants a higher end light for whatever reason. But there are some good lights out there for china money many people enjoy using. That have a good rep with people. They won't be here at my home. In the $300 to $500 range op could have already had one by now.

You’re always gonna get that one guy no matter what you’re doing in life.
I mean, you got guys going sticking their fingers in electric sockets, true story
Stay away from secondhand lights, although some people may disagree Chinese lights.
All you Gotta do is take precautions and don’t wire up stuff stupidly.
Stick a smoke alarm in the room that you use to grow in. Buy an electrical fire extinguisher.

I don't know what your not understanding about this issue. The light in question is a old school modern near worthless purble light that they want way to much money for. It's a trash can liner. All it's going to do is cause plants to stretch and way underperform in all other areas of growth,,, PERIOD! It's meant to be paired with lights of other spectrums or mother nature. Which I would not waste 2 seconds of time on or 2 cents in other hardware on. There are so many reasonably good lights out there to have. Why waste 2 seconds thinking about that junk POS?? Can it not be returned? Nobody that knows about horticulture at all would tell you that's a good light to grow weed with much less anything else. Nobody in this thread has told you or suggested to keep it. Your rationalization and justification is going to screw you right out of $500 bucks. Nobody uses a light like that. None of the commercial grows around here uses a light like that,,, nobody. They would get laughed out of the industry. I just flat out don't get your mind set at all. It's like trying to figure out how big of explosion one needs to put out a fire. Sure there are uses for that calculation. But not when the fire is a tree vs a oil well fire where the explosion is needed.

It will veg however it will be tall lanky & basically not worth your time or money.

I said it will veg because it won’t die under that particularly it will live however it really isn’t what you want.

As said you’ve a specialised light if you added blue lightning into it, it would work but it would be money on top of money. Not really what you want from the $500 light, especially when you can get a good 400w led for 1/2 that price.

The yield would be sparse as the plant would be leggy

If your stuck with that light & that’s why your trying to make it work then your best bet would to add supplemental lighting.

Are you located in a certain country that it's hard to find grow lights in?

The price of the light is not going to change how your plants grow.
I have a HLG Scorpion RSpec 600 watt, they cost around $1100 brand new.
I also have 430 watt light that cost $300, 280 watt light that cost $250, and two 400 watt lights that cost $250 a piece.

Point I'm trying to make is, I have expensive and cheap lights but they all grow the same quailty cannabis, regardless if it was the $1100 light or the $250 light.
