I used a DIY co2 generator this run and the plants love it. They have fluffed out quicker and fuller than usual. Im going to flip to flower at the end of the week. Any thoughts or tips?

What exactly is a DIY CO2 generator?

Well technically we are all DIY co2 generators :p

On a serious note, what size pots and what medium are you using? Got this feeling the pots are not going to hold a photo in late flower. For a photo in soil i'd up pot a week, maybe 2 before flip.

Also might want to think about how to trim this. That's a lot of plants in 1 tent. I noticed the lowest 2 nodes are what takes up loads of space on my plants.

This was not my idea. Just something I seen another grower use. There are two very large airtight jars in two corners of the tent. I ran rubber tube up to the trelace net from the jars and then positioned them near the top of the plants. The jars contain 2 cups sugar 2-3 cups water and 2 teaspoons or yeast. Within 24hrs fermentation starts to happen and co2 is expelled.

Yes, we are generators too . The girls are in 3 gal fabric pots using coco and perlite for the growing medium. I grew a monster Auto in a one gallon pot by accident, she took forever to flower. If I find the photo I will post it.

There is definetly a nice defoliation coming this weekend! They have been topped ounce except the two on the right and the one in the back left corner. I normally only try to flower one or two plants in the 4x4 but I figure if I flip them this weekend, there should be room after a heavy defoliation and lollipop the hell out of them to try to help with the side bushing. I've never flowered this early or while they are this small. Figured I would try something new. Almost like a sea of green affect having a FULL canopy with little plants.

This was the top of the Autoflower grown in a one gallon. I wish i had a picture of it with the pot so it was more believable

You must feed often. How often? What nutes are you using?

I try to go all "organic". Gaja green 4-4-4 all purpose and 2-8-4 bloom I also use their glacial rock dust in the initial mix with coco and perlite. I use at least ten percent worm poo also then sprinkle in Great White Microrizae. I follow the directions on the containers. I usually only have to top dress twice before harvest. They live off the initial mix until I flip to flower. I top dress the first time then and a second time around week 3-4 of flower. Other then the first mix and the two top dressings its only PhD water 6.2-6.8 wherever it lands lol, molases ounce a week and also beneficial nematodes for pest control.

Im impressed. I do pretty much the same in 5 gallon fabrics all though my soil mixture is basically a combo of promix, ocean forest, happy frog, 20% worm castings and perlite as I thought the mixture would promote a more living soil for the microorganisms. Also Gaia Green nutes. PH about 6.6.
With just basically coco im somewhat surprised you dont need cal-mag for most of grow with some epsom salt later in flower.
I figured with the smaller pots you would have to feed more often.

I did forget to mention that I get coco coir compressed and dehydrated and when I hydrate it I add cal mag from Fox farm but that is the only time I used cal mag. My tap water has a bit of calcium in it lol. I do leave my water out for at least 24hrs with air stones to get rid of the chlorine. That autoflower I posted was a Blue Dream Auto and they seem to do well with less nutes I think. What do the Epsom salts do? I've heard this and seen it a time or two but not sure when and how much to use. Do you like promix versus just plain coco? I would like to try your growing medium recipe to try and get a more "living soil" like you mentioned

The only time I used just cococoir I was basically growing hydroponically using General Hydroponics Flora Trio which is a salt based and requires about 15% runoff. The style I was doing required more time than I was willing to give although the results are better in my opinion. The use the cal-mag due to useing my LED growlight and low calcium in my tap well water (no chlorine in my water since it is well water). I use the epsom salt also because my well water is low in magnesium and sulphur. I can give you my soil recipe by you dont appear to need it based on the last picture.

I grow 4 plants at a time in 5 gallon fabric pots
7 gallons ProMix
3 gallons and 12 cups Ocean Forest
3 gallons Happy Frog
5 gallons EWC
1 gallon and 4 cups Perlite
(Figure 14 gallons when adding Gaia Green Nutes) 14 * 3 = 42
Add Wollastonite for silica ( 1 gram per liter in non soil)
Add Epsom Salt for sulphur (1 teaspoon per gallon of soil) I added 2.5 tbs per pot)
I mixed each 5 gallon fabric pot to itself instead of all together
For Autoflowers the nutrients I am going with about 70/30 mix of 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 at just under 3 tbs per gallon which will be 7.35 tbs 4-4-4 and 3.15 tbs 2-8-4.
In the center of the 5 gallon fabric pot, I solo shaped area (2 cups worth) consisting of 3 parts ProMix HP and 1 part worm castings to put germinated seeds into.

Amazon. Keep in mind it seems you have a good thing going and if it works for you maybe you should stick to it.

I dont want to screw you up.

I dont envy you, even fertigating by hand for a week is annoying, but they look good If it werent for autopot, i would not grow coco coir the whole way. Maybe that's something to look at? Fill the res once a week and be done with it. All they want is what you guys just named but in liquid form. Some silica, calmag, base and seaweed. I wouldnt mix stuff like epsom or actual soil through my coco. The roots they build for each of those media are different.

Also doing a living soil run atm (1st time)
Generic 5p potting soil (close to a 1:1:1 ratio),
2p vermicast,
1p basaltmeal,
tbsp p/gal bonemeal,
2p perlite.
Added some pinebark

Let the above cook for a few weeks before transplating and add miccor the moment you do.

It's from Autopot USA, or UK wherever you're from (:
