Hey everybody, this is my first time growing more than 3 plants at a time and I decided to step it up and veg & flower 12 plants in my outdoor. I'm also going to be taking clones a few weeks before flower and will be perpetuating this shed.

Strains:
2x Purple Urkle
2x Girl scout
2x Banana kush
2x Black Diamond OG
2x Sour Diesel
2x unknown strain cloned from outdoor plant

Space:
Outdoor shed on my side yard.
System: Ebb/Flow DIY flood table with a powerful pump and 3 gallon reservoir w/ airstone
I use panda lining to line the table and a staple gun to put it in place.
Medium: 100% hydroton
Lights: (1) 600 watt iPower HPS/MH air cooled hood (1) 150 watt FloraLux HPS (1) random CFLs
Nutrients: 1 teaspoon of GH MaxiBloom per gallon of water
Ventilation: (1) 4 inch duct EXHAUST, (1) 6 inch duct INLINE (blowing air over the 600w HPS bulb), (1) 4 inch duct fan on the other side of the 600 watt which is sucking the hot air outside.
Temperatures: currently in a heat wave in southern California so highs are 90 lows 60.

A couple of the plants have noticeable wilting/wrinkling of the most top growth. I'm guessing heat stress from the heat wave and the fact that this shed is outdoors.

Let me know what you guys think, I just purchased a tds/ph meter and it's on its way in the mail.

I would run an 18-6 light schedule with the lights off during the hottest part of the day. This would probably alleviate a lot of the heat stress.

Also feed potassium silica(silica blast or similar) into their diet that'll help with the heat stress.

Lastly adding some Co2 the environment would definitely help. Plants can handle higher temps with higher CO2. If you got your ppm to about 1500 and ramped up the food those plants would be really happy.

One last thought is a portable AC an option there? You can usually get the 10K BTU units off of Craigslist for about a hundred bucks. A bonus on portable ACs is that they often have a dehumidifier only option on them too

Pulling up a chair on this one.

Good tips above and damn numbnutts that package deal is so cheap! Thanks for the intel!

Hellahydro,
Here's my 2 cents on your ventilation right now. If you change it up a bit I think you could bring the temps down some.
It looks to me like you have two inline fans connected to your hood. This in my opinion is very inefficient. Since you have two fans you have the advantage of using one to cool your light and using one to exhaust your room. I'd also grab a carbon filter for when it starts to smell during flower unless you don't care.

I would set up the 6" inline fan to use outside air to cool your hood. I'd set up the fan to pull the air away from the hood.
Wall>Duct>Hood>Duct>6" inline fan>Wall

Then I would set up the 4" inline fan with a carbon filter (as high as you can mount it) for hot air exhaust and a minimum 4" hole near the bottom of the shed(to pull in cooler air) for passive intake to complete air exchange inside the room.
Passive intake(not connected to carbon filter)>Carbon filter(optional)>Duct>4" inline fan>Wall

Why 6 inch ? Quit playing when your heat is obviously a huge factor & you don't wanna have to play construction man too many times :)

When your using the outside air as your A/c , it's best to have at least 8inch and 10 and have have a hepa filter on it . Then get a temp on/off probes systems and that will make .

Run your system dominately at night cycles and it will work practically anywhere without a stupid a/c

Looks like that shed is an old sauna. I think def pull in fresh air from outside with one fan and have lights on at night.
