Thx for the response Jake! Sounds like you're off to a good start... It will be nice to see these beds packed with colas in a month or so... :flower

yeah im excited to see how much weight i can get out of that cali mist tray, as its gonna be my only real good judge on how well these beds do. if i can pull 2.5 or 3 of cali mist i will be STOKED! hopefully get the bugs worked out this run, environment wise, then really be able to produce some weight next run. i wanna get a 20lbs harvest out of this garage this year at some point.

Foliar feed will make em a bit droopy :( Thanks for the pic updates! My vote is for 2 flower rooms. Would be easer to control co2, temps and humidity. But if you can figure out how to do a 24 light board yourself just pop for one large room. Plus you could always stagger your harvest by having beds finish at different times.

I love your garage build since that's what I'm stuck with, too! I can't match your plant numbers, but I'm excited to see how it all turns out for you. Grow on!

Setup is nuts. I remember your 1st grow log and you've come a hell of a long way within a year. Keep on keeping on.

i have only watered the once after i transplanted, the beds are still real wet just below the surface. it was about 5 days now. and i only gave them roots excel, there is plenty of fresh nutes in new soil. ill water again next then start water/water/feeding from then on out. using cutting edge full line and some additives, such as silica, nitrozyme, hygrozyme, roots excel, and a couple others here and there.

and the plants looking really droopy are the pure kush's they have always been kinda droopy on me. also these pictures were taken after a foliar feed.

what nutes are you spraying on them for your foliar feed?

Update... Just fed em... full line of CE. they are wet, hence them being droopy.
Put a row of magnumhods up, for comparison, hopefully i can invest in all of them next round.

so you went cinder, then weed barrier on top of that, then your soil.
Curious about the weed barrier:
did you sew it into a rectangle to fit the bed
or
just set it in place?

seems easier to remove the soil that way. :)
Yes I agree smart pots would be more pricey than weed barrier.
I saw the idea in this thread.

nice build, hope the beds up the yield!!

pull roots amend and reuse

on my 3rd round now whith same soil (added 2-3 bags per bed)
i have found plants need a little more food as each round

growmaster goes in to detail on what he does to ammend
saves $ and works just as good ( i jock his style in that thred)

Very nice setup. I saw you had the light hangers on backwards. It's much easier to raise and lower with the part you loosen and tighten attached to the hood not the ceiling. Same with the new ratchet ones you got. The part you release the ratchet mechanism on should be on the hood. Try it on one and see for yourself. Only commenting because I noticed the uneven hoods a few pages back

ive tried em both ways... the yo-yos i dont ever loosen, if you pull hard enough they just slip.

then the ractheting ones i can raise the hoods to the ceiling by just pulling the extra string. when i had them the other way i can only move the light as high as i could reach. if i want to lower them of course i have to get a ladder. and yeah i kinda have the hoods at different heights as the plants are different sizes. and i have two different style of hoods.

and yeah boston i have re used soil before, i just dont like the extra work involved and not knowing if its loaded up or not. i like them being able to thrive after i put them into fresh soil. and as for the cost i have to grow around 1/2-1 oz more per bed to pay for the soil. its a worthy investment in my eyes.

thanks for all the input guys. greatly appreciated...
