Hashing it up, I saw a video of a bucket taped with a salad bowl attached to a "mic stand" which the liquid could pass thru as a "Homemade" hash bucket rig, it's a neat rig. Cheers SS

Just took the larf for a spin in the ol' bucket yesterday and got some nice blonde hash from it too, the bubble bags work like a charm and are super simple to use!

Hey all,

This grow is going along quite well, the plants are loving the coco/perlite/compost medium they are growing in.

Clones are starting to bush out and the pruned plants are bouncing back nicely, sitting at week 4 veg all around (clones were rooted when I got them).

Week 1 flower 50% done and the plants have taken to their last pruning nicely, waiting for sex determination hopefully be in the next week or so.

Hey all,

Got some big updates going on in the garden, starting with an update to the setup;

I re-routed the ventilation fan (Stealth Fan, 4", In-line) and the carbon filter in order to accommodate a second tent, the purpose of this second tent? A stud farm!

I have been trying to get a solid grasp of what exactly I wanted to achieve in my pursuit of growing as a hobby, I have figured that in order to pursue a long time self sustained personal grow I must first establish a gene bank/gene pool. So I got a second tent in order to pursue this ambition, the set up now is;

Tentage:

Tent 1: 4'x4'x6.5', Reflective mylar,
Tent 2: 2'x2'x4', Reflective mylar,

Airflow:

1x 4" Stealth fan in-line ventilation w/ carbon filter as an emitter and remote rheostat,
1x 10" Adjustable fan, interior, top of tent(4'x4'x6.5'),

Lights:

6x 4' Barrina T5 LED lights, 1500W equivalent, 2900k on a homemade frame(4'x4'x6.5'),
2x Cheapo LED, 450W equivalent, 2700k (2'x2'x4'),

Pots/growing medium:

20L (5 U.S. gal), plastic with overflow tray,
Fafard Coco coir, peat, compost, perlite mix resting pH of 6.4-6.6, 3x worms in each bucket,

Special equipment:

None

Nutrients:

Nutrients are dry powder top dressing, so soil is turned every 2nd watering to prevent build up in the top soil.

Vegetative:

Gaia Green All Purpose, 5x Tbsp every 5-7 days,
Gaia Green Gypsum, 2x Tbsp every 5-7 days,

Flower:

Gaia Green Power Bloom, 5x Tbsp every 5-7 days,,
Gaia Green Gypsum, 2x Tbsp every 5-7 days.

Water Sched:

1/2 L Everyday or every other day.

Notes:

Plants flipped on the 1 April.

All 3 clones hermed, 2 completely male now, 1 x plant purged, males moved to stud farm to undergo stress treatment,

Ventilation had light leak for 1st week, attempts to solve it failed, why are none of the Afghani plants male or hermed?

Hey all,

The girls got their final trim mostly for air flow, been. Having issues with powdery mildew ffs, the battle rages on though.

Got some nice bud sites going.

Salvation?

I have been battling Powdery Mildew for half this grow thanks to the skanky clones I got that were full of the stuff.

But I may have finally found Salvation,

3 parts water to 1 part mouthwash.

I applied the first and hopefully only spray to the foliage today, I hope it is more persistent than 91% alcohol.

Updates in 24 hrs.

Looking good!

Did a good thorough check for powdery mildew and it's all gone!

The mouthwash worked well, also increased rH by adding a humidifier behind the the fan intake.

Upped water intake to 3 cups of water (3/4L) at the beginning of week 4.

The girls just got a dose of Mg, a little bit of red popping up here and there but insignificant.

Overall some happy plants.

Bud site leave are starting to turn red/purple so I guess there's some red phenotypes in the mix.
