what’s your opinion

I sure remember 16% strains that rocked & got me the rest of us high.

Now we got these bud testers doing it for YouTube looking down there nose at anything below 20%

what’s your thoughts on thc content do you see 16% strains & swipe left as they say

I used to pick some of the newer higher advertised THC strains and some of the old stuff I used way back, but now I pretty much stick to what like although I do try some new stuff now and again based on what other experienced smokers might suggest. I also experient with freebies that the seedbanks provide.

One thing that amazes me is many say todays weed is much higher in THC than the old weed, I think thats BS. They must be testing a twenty year old driedup bud.

Old school weed never reached the 30% we see today. Going back a long time it wasn’t as strong in actual thc content but in my own personal experience was better than we see today. I admit I saw & smoked strains over 10 years ago that was as strong as bubble hash & had a very high thc content.

However I was really reflecting on before the high thc strains evolved.

I can remember some strains that stunk so much they were nicknamed filter killers as they absolutely stank in flower. okay some still smell but not that dank, it’s like they breed the smell out but lost something on the way.

I think our collective tolerance has just gotten higher.

When I was a delinquent teen in the 90's we got south of the border brick weed down in Washington square park and "hydro" uptown in Harlem. Depending on the building you got it (this was some scary shit back then) it was either what we called at the time "diesel", "skunk" or "beasters". Blueberry came at the end and changed everything.

I'm pretty sure some of that stuff was at least up in the 17-20% range. We got high from the Mexican, but not like the uptown shit. Now I smoke the canna cheese 1:1 and it's probably 14% THC and I get nice and high. Then I smoke my 20% shit and it feels like too much sometimes! At least for me the tolerance factor is real.

I cant remember when i saw anything under 25% i would probably swipe but lately i am thinking if i should plant one of those cbd strains with 10-15% probably not buttt....

But isnt the only difference how long your high

I find the difference is with the "new" high thc% strains is i can smoke and smoke. I only get stoned to a certain point.
I can't do that with the old school 10 -16 % smoke. It will make me more and more stoned and feel numb the day after.
I see the same with people that smoke. They can smoke one joint after another.
Very few could do that in the olden days.
Most people don't even get cheech and chong eyes anymore. Only one i know gets that a little.
I think i got an idea why, Putting 2 and 2 together.

Yeah there is kinda that thing now where I can smoke until my stomach just gets upset, either from the tobacco in blunts or just smoke in general. Maybe it's a function of having experience with 20-30% and more at all- it may just permanently change your experience and force the body to sort of "hyper metabolize".
But today's taste and quality is FAR above the 80s and 90s.

I still say I got a better high from weed from days gone by, in comparison to today's dispo weed.

Today's weed is intense...but short lived, lasting an hour or so. But growing my own...it's much closer to what I remember. I expect because it's grown in ground, outdoors, under the sun, where it has for thousands of years, instead of tents, synthetic lighting and chemicals, digital control, ect. ( Man will create his own demise playing God and mother nature) But then there's tolerance...yeah, I can smoke a lot more than when I started, nearly 50 yrs ago. ( I was 8 at my first toke, was about paralyzed by the third toke.). Now a joint is a warm up to get things rolling. Probably enough THC in my blood to fuck someone up, with a transfusion.

marijuana has 100% gotten worse and it started around 1990,..
it’s all on purpose to destroy you and keep you numb dumb and stupid,. marijuana was used to treat many ailments etc but today those same ailments are caused by marijuana,.
the old faces of marijuana destroyed marijuana along with the govnts burning down marijuana fields in marijuana growing countries around the world,.
we were importing hashish and marijuana by the pounds in the mid/late 80’s on a regular routine than all of the sudden everything stopped it was dry as a desert for well over a year, than when it restarted it was all indoor hydro and that’s when i quit smoking weed and only smoked hashish and oil as hashish was still being imported but at a much smaller amount,..
marijuana became decriminalized not because we stood up for our rights or the govnt came to its senses, its being used to make you sick, tired, confused, uninterested etc etc,,.
also there is no such thing as tolerance as in how “high” you get,,
the weed has been manipulated and the “high” removed,.
i think it’s THCP that was removed,.

I've worked for government my whole life and read quite a lot about it and I'm convinced Government of Any Flavor isn't competent to operate a bicycle factory, much less any social manipulation.

Yeah I must admit I walked into a coffee shop with a friend I was showing around dam for the first time. He asked for some Afghan & asked if it was good or something along them lines the tender nearly fell over in laughter saying nothing good has come out of Afghanistan for the last 30 years because of all the wars.

Something got breed out as it was definitely different compared to today’s strains.

Hash was good ages ago but today you’ll not find good hash unless you make it imo if I had the space I’d probably be in the same boat gnick

Even in Amsterdam I don’t smoke hash unless it’s iso, wax or something along them lines as the normal hash just doesn’t taste good

i’ve been to amsterdam 5 times though that was late 80’s early 90’s and the hashish was good, great and amazing and all of it was imported other than their own “nederhash” which was heavily contaminated green looking hash,..
i know i still have a marijuana weed and hashish menu from a coffee shop from back than tucked away somewhere,..

I don't pay any attention to thc/cbd figures I can't think of anywhere I shop that lists them, maybe it's a European thing idk, is it?
It could also be I'm not interested so It doesn't register but I expect I'd at least notice, surely

In Amsterdam they never used to then some shops started doing so now most shops do.

I was originally talking about seeds as I am in the uk & we don’t have shops & always forget some USA states do. I would have thought most USA dispensers would considering the laws you folk might have on weed

You just made me think there happy to sell us plastic 3d printed food with no warning but weed..

Like you I don’t really look at a strain mind for thc content so I getcha on the not interested thing
