My plants are about 2 1/2 ft high. I am trying some LST. Is this enough first bend? I used an old T shirt for ties. Can I give it a bit more bend in a few days?

Perfect!
Now just feed her well. When you bend a plant like this it simply lets light hit lower nodes so branches grow from the nodes
creating a shorter bushier plant. What are you feeding her? Any liquid tomato fertilizer will do a great job for you.
Look for a high first number like 12- 4-8. Just fallow the instructions and your plant will grow nicely from here.
Each lower node should produce a branch on each side and the top will turn back up. In 30 days you won't believe it's the same plant. If you can top dress with 1/2 cup bone meal and mix it in good it will help at flowering time but it takes time to break down so do it asap k..

So what I do is that for a while to get those lower nodes started growing tall, when they catch up to mainstem I really it and start thing those branches down, this makes for a wide base that will be a ring of branches that get light and then let the thing go, as leaves fill into the center I'll thin em out as well as nodes that will never produce to focus on producing branches only. Plus I like a top cola or 4.
It won't grow quite as tall this way but will be a dome of even sized buds for most part.
