Hi Farmers

I want to start to pollinate my entire garden and was wondering how much bud would i lose if i did a open pollination. Would i get half or less assuming alot of pollen is released.?

I know this cant be accurate depending on amount of seed etc,.. but has anyone got a rough idea ?

peace

if you pollinate when the female plants are still in early flower and have only a bit of white hair/pistils on them , only these flowers will produce seed. So pollinating early and then removing the male will result in only few seeds.
If the male/s are left for longer time their pollen will pollinate more new buds as the females keep growing new bud growth

The more seeds a plant makes the more bud you lose. Seeds are energy suckers so unless you are going for a lot seedmaking I wouldn't recommend you pollinate a lot of flowers.

You can always selectively pollinate female flowers on certain branches by hand by having collected pollen in a different room.
