What kind of "soil"?So I’m very new to growing and am experiencing issues with PH at the soil.
I thought to increase the PH of my water to 11 and fed these to my 7 plants.
I then googled and ph is the equivalent to ammonia solution
Luckily my plants haven’t died but they are very weak.
My question is if the plants don’t die will they be safe to consume?
I’m currently vegetating and will continue for another month to try and resolve the issues with PH and the deficiencies the plants have
Biobizz light mixWhat kind of "soil"?
Just flush a few times with your 7~ph tapBiobizz light mix
Okay thank you. Would you suggest using nutrients too? As my plants are badly affected by calcium and magnesium deficienciesJust flush a few times with your 7~ph tap
You could use a little Epsom salt, wouldn't be a bad idea to give a small dose of nutes.Okay thank you. Would you suggest using nutrients too? As my plants are badly affected by calcium and magnesium deficiencies
Not sure if they are organic or synthetic. The nutrients are House and Garden if you’ve heard of them beforeYou could use a little Epsom salt, wouldn't be a bad idea to give a small dose of nutes.
Organic or synthetic nutes?
You're biobizz soil should already have pH bufferNot sure if they are organic or synthetic. The nutrients are House and Garden if you’ve heard of them before
I was thinking of using dolomite lime to try and sort the PH issue
The strange thing is my ph run off is at 5.5 and some are even lower. I’ve no idea what’s going onYou're biobizz soil should already have pH buffer
Pics of plants would be cool too.The strange thing is my ph run off is at 5.5 and some are even lower. I’ve no idea what’s going on
I’ve done that. Left it about 4 days to ensure everything was dry and still very low PH at the roots.Let it dry back and try again once it does.
It should be fine.
Possibly, those nutes may need to be pH checked/corrected if really acidic.I’ve done that. Left it about 4 days to ensure everything was dry and still very low PH at the roots.
Could it be the nutrient line I’m using? As it’s not biobizz’s own chemicals?
I have 3 different PH meters just to be on the safe side.please get some pics up, a lot of things are just binned at Ca&Mg but are other things.
ph@11 is a very strong base, whenever a flush is recommended it's usually always meant to clean/clear the soil so no nutes.
if it's coming out @ 5.5 the buffer may be working,or your tool is just out of whack. did you calibrate your meter before using it? little things sometimes has goofy results.
The plants shouldn’t be flowering as they are on a 18/6 and aren’t autos. All i see is new growth that is slightly more yellow and is very common in the beginning stages of flower when it's "stretching"
i wouldn't say there is any issue with CA or MG - was the lighter colors giving you that impression? they look great.
lemme guess, around the first week of flower?
Isnt it weird that the runoff is 5,5 when the soil is 6,5? I used light and all mix from biobizz before. Your base nutes from house and garden already have calcium, magnesium and PHOSPHORIC ACID, which is a ph down chemical. It could explain your low ph in the soil.
This the composition of soil A+B:
Derived From: Calcium Nitrate, Ammonium Nitrate, Nitric Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Phosphoric Acid Anhydride, and Magnesium Sulfate
Soil Nutrient A & B (together) by House & Garden direct from Growers House
Never before have nutrients and soil been so well attuned. Soil is a unique composition ensures that soil and nutrients are used to their full advantage. This gives the plant optimal strength during the growth and flowering periods.growershouse.com
Dolomite lime is in between 5,5 and 6,5 but with the acids your nute has it might alter it anyway. Just buy a ph down and up I would say.Okay I didn’t realise this when researching chemicals. What would your suggestion be to combat this issue?
I’m thinking of adding dolomite lime to see if that improves anything
