The room Temp is 60F and RH has been hovering at 30%.

I have the ACI controller set to Vent Fan on at 1 and Humidifier at 66%. Heater set to about 74F.

The himidifier is pumping a lot of moisture and caught me off guard twice now with going dry and the RH in the tent dropping to 30% for 5 and 6 hours before I got around to fill. Will this stress the plants at all (about 3wks at this point)?

Can I set the Vent Fan to turn off and on instead of running on low constantly? Air is being draw in from the bottom on the heater side and opposite the Humidifier.

When your lights are on and no fan/hum/heater what’s the temps? If it’s still 60°f (most cellars or cement unfinished spaces) opt for brighter lights… something that operates in the 75-80° range and you should be able to lose the heater. If the light is appropriate for the apace it should maintain the grow temps almost alone.

How do the plants look? If they look okay, they should be fine.

Also... 66% is a bit high for the humidity. I have mine set in the 50s for everything except seedlings. There are various opinions about humidity, but the lower it is the less often the tank needs to be filled.

Which controller do you have? If it's like mine, you should be able to set the "Off" value to zero. Then set the "On" value to one or two. Then select "Auto" and set the trigger.

I had a tough time understanding that the "Auto" setting uses the "On" and "Off" settings for the lower and upper limits. It works the same for other ACI UIS devices, like their humidifiers.

No heater will drop the tent temp to the room 60F. I run the ACI efficient LED lighting. This particular tent (secondary normally for drying) is not the greatest. Heater is not a problem.

Controller is a 69 Pro. The other setup I ran a small open loop humidifier on medium and used the vent setting to control the humidity.. This setup I have an ACI T3 humidifier running controlled by the 69.

VPD is a solid 1.0. Plants look good and 5 finger leaves just sprouting. About to transplant up to 2 gallon Velcro’s.
Any changes in RH and/or temps? 50% RH seems low to me for seedlings and veg. Temp at the plants is 74F at the bottom of the tent.

How long should I Vef from here? First time running Photoperiods (OG Kush and CBD plants),

I also have a 69 Pro with a T3 in one of my tents, so we're on the same page. I've had trouble getting the T3, so I also have a generic humidifier with a control plug in my other tent.

I also run the RH higher for seedlings. I lower the RH and as the plant matures. According to the charts, VPD should increase for the latter stages of growth.

Well... It's really the grower's choice as I see things. What I do is measure the maximum distance from the lights to the soil and divide it by three. That allocates one third for the plant before the stretch, one third for the stretch, and one third for a safe distance between the light and the top of the plant after the stretch. This is all rule of thumb because how much a plant might stretch is mostly unpredictable. So far, that method has worked reasonably well for me, though.

I had bumped the RH down to 60% and the VPD is now around 1.1. The T3 is a PIA to get. You have to preorder as they go fast when they get them in. I wish the water container had a handle, already dropped it once and smashed one of the legs trying to fill.

I have a small digital in the other tent which I can’t switch on and off as it loses its setting when powered off. Waiting on another T3.

Need to pot up this weekend.
Happy new year!

Yes you can set you fan to shut completely off. You have to go to your off setting turn it to zero. Turn your on setting to 10. Then go into your port setting. Set your temp to 1degree. This will make it so each time you tent goes 1 degree over temp it will bring the fan up 1. So 10 degrees over will have you fan on speed 10
